Best guess at the meaning is "On the subject of the thread I have issues with People Who Use Acronyms instead of the Queen's English. Just A Thought. Pride, Ego, Principle. For Goodness' Sake." - fireftrm, am I anywhere close?!

Extremely, though POP is point of principle. No jokes other than the irony if using acronyms against them. The way that they are often bandied around in the forum leads me to despair.

Ftr is a shortened term the m means nothing, or maybe it does. But then again I guess big nose may not refer to the size of your appendage and, instead, the depth of your curiosity?

Just had the same guard on the 1003 Birmimgham - Coventry (Bournemouth service)

Looked at my ticket, had a bit of a huff & moved on.

Ticket was Bromsgrove - Coventry Y-P off peak day single.
