XC ran a HST to Penzance on Saturdays last summer, and the summer before, twas on 1V48 what would be the 0610 Newcastle to Plymouth however started at York and extended to Penzance arriving around 1550, this then returned on what would be the 1825 Plymouth to Birmingham, starting at Penzance at 1625, and then extended to terminate at Leeds.

Also on my earlier balls up regarding HSTs to Penzance, mea culpa and I've clearly been misinformed!![]()
I do indeed. Just don't get chance too often.
It will be a sad day for enthusiasts when you can't do Dawlish with droplights on service stock![]()
We are not on about the 0632 from York, we are on about the 0745 from York on summer saturdays. As last summer it is running to Penzance as HST (confirmed by the ECS from Neville Hill). See here - http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/P30926/2013/05/25/advanced
I was referring to a previous post which has been edited and changed now, which said something along lines of 06?? from york.
Sunday
0901 Ply-Nqy (N/A), 1324 Nqy-Edb (1649-1703) - If disrupted by engineering works, will form service an hour later from New Street.
0810 Lds-Ply (1039-1055), 1424 Ply-Edb (1748-1803) - If outward service disrupted by engineering works, will form service an hour later from Plymouth, maybe then from Birmingham too, depends on location and length of the day that is affected by the works.
Its 1132 from Newquay (1S53).
The summer timetable has started yet they still have 3 HSTs sitting in the sidings for over half of the week
School summer holidays is when the HSTs come out to play.
