If climate change deniers think their respective country is the world, why do climate change believers almost always think the opposite, yet still equate their country with the rest of the world?
One count of poor communication does not a whole theory debunk.
The issue with climate change is that politicians have hijacked it for their own ends.

Is CO2 a greenhouse gas? Is man releasing a lot of CO2 into the air?
I find a lot of climate change deniers think that Britain = The World. If we have a cold winter here in Britain then climate change is obviously a hoax - forget the heatwave in the Midwest and that the opening of the Northwest passage.

It is a greenhouse gas, but as far as greenhouse gases go, it's pretty crap. There are many that are much worse*.
Ones that are worse include Methane, Nitrous Oxide and even water vapour.
*I seem to recall something about CO2 being the least effective greenhouse gas, but I can't remember if that's actually true or if there are some that are less so.
That is true, but I believe that sheer volume makes up for it though.

If only there was some sort of website where anyone could type in a phrase such as "water vapour contribution to global warming" for themselves![]()

Shhh... the Climate Change Industry really doesn't like anyone talking about Water Vapour.
Let's look at the Atmospheric Greenhouse Gases thought to contribute to Global Warming (contribution by %):
So CO2 looks like the major contributor, even taking into account that four fifths of atmospheric CO2 is naturally occurring.![]()
But by a clever sleight of hand, we managed to accidentally forget about Water Vapour.
Anyway, it's not a gas is it, so we aren't misleading anyone, honest!
Just out of interest, what happens when we create a chart of Atmospheric Greenhouse Gases and Water Vapour thought to contribute to Global Warming:
![]()
Incidentally, and perhaps inconveniently, atmospheric water vapour is over 99% of natural origin.
Nor were they shut in the 1970s/80s when I went to school - apart from once when I remember it occurred due to the school boiler having failed. Nowadays, it seems we have not much more than a covering of snow and half the local schools are shut.
Brrr-ace yourselves! Britain to shiver in -20C in WEEKS as councils stockpile extra grit
This was in the Mail online Thursday last week.
• 1.4million tonnes of salt has been ordered this year
• Britain is just weeks away from being in the grip of temperatures as low as -20C, forecasters have predicted.
• It comes as a survey from council leaders reveals local authorities are stockpiling thousands of tonnes of extra road salt this year in anticipation of another white winter.
• Britain is being warned to brace itself for wintery conditions and falling snow from the beginning of November.
• James Madden, long-range forecaster for Exacta Weather, said: 'I expect the most frequent and heavy snowfalls to occur across many parts of the UK during November, December and January at present.
•
• 'I initially expect frequent and significant snowfalls across many northern regions and Scotland throughout this winter.
• 'Any earlier snowfall is likely to be more confined to northern and western parts of the UK, although large scale low pressure systems also offer the potential for significant snowfalls to many parts of the UK.
• 'I also expect November, December, January and February to feature largely below-average temperatures across many parts of the UK, it is likely that temperature and snowfall records will be broken within this defined time frame.'
• Research by the Local Government Association (LGA), which represents more than 350 councils in England and Wales, shows on average local authorities aim to have 1,500 tonnes more salt at the ready to treat roads and pavements than they did at the start of October 2010.
• Each council spread about 3,900 tonnes of salt, on average, last year, while this year councils are armed with about 4,900 tonnes.
• In total, an estimated 1.4million tonnes of salt is expected to be stockpiled this year.

You obviously didn`t read it correctly, it said "in weeks"
You obviously didn`t read it correctly, it said "in weeks"
well last week in Sheffield it dropped 12degrees in a week so it`s possible, here last November was horrendous.
did it say UK average
Britain to shiver in -20C

I wouldn't hold out to much hope that preperation by Councils will prevent disruption.
We get snow EVERY year and still get chaotic scenes on our roads , rail and airports.
(because people obviously don't know how to dress up for cold :roll
Sensationalist claptrap. I will eat my woolly hat if it gets to -20 in London, Cardiff and Glasgow (the three capitals of Great Britain)
