Also what about E5001? Didn't that see use under NRM custody?
There was an article in Railways Illustrated a couple of months back which suggested that the NRM might be considering doing so again. Wait and see!

It's probably been said, but the Hymek on display at the West Somerset R'Way.
That's some pretty fanciful and ambitious aspirations there, given that 76039 is nothing more than a disembodied cab and that the only section of "main line" that 76020 would be able to operate over would be the Sunderland to Pelaw section of the Tyne and Wear Metro (And by extension, the rest of the 1.5kV operated TW Metro system, but that doesn't count as main line), but I suppose we all can dream.Love to see 76 020 or 76039 working on the Mainline someday.

It'd be quite a sight to behold, and I certainly wouldn't be complaining as it would pass right by my old house in Sunderland! Getting one of the 77s fired up as well would be quite something.
84001. A rare North British survivor and one of the more unusual early AC electrics.
And dare I say Ffestiniog's 'Princess' and 'Livingston Thompson'..
