to be serious I can see the 58's going
Erm... if you mean in service on the British Isles, you're about 4 years too late

I'd go for 317s or 455s as more likely than Pacers or Sprinters, mainly because they're worked alot harder when you consider how busy the lines they operate on are. The 317s will need to come off GN when that's linked up to Thameslink in any case as dual voltage will be needed.
Another possible is the Cl90. If IEP finally finishes them off from passenger work they could become a very small class indeed. Will FL continue with them on Intermodals or will they decide to standardise their fleet with more Cl66's...? We shall see.

There were rumourings going around the Mid Norfolk that EWS traction may not be found on the sleepers for much longer, although no-one had any ideas on what specifically may be taking over the electric sections.I think you may be right with that, they could potentially become a very small class indeed, although I reckon there will still be some for quite a while, for example the caledonian sleeper I think will be using 90s for some time yet.
Erm... if you mean in service on the British Isles, you're about 4 years too lateBut yes, there are some demic 58s lying around, which will very likely get scrapped in the not so distant future, although the same can be said for some 60s- there are a few of them that would cost a pretty penny to repair. There are probably more 58s in 'working order' than there are 60s thanks to the recent TGV Est work- so I can quite imagine in the short term demic 60s going before the 58s. 'Green Machine' 60081 springs to mind as being absolutely knackered.
60059 after Saturday morning would be a good bet!! Good riddance!
314s replacement seems to be happening in the next couple of years with new deliveries to FSR.
Can see the 57/0s with Freightliner going - small sub-class, no ETH, lower power than 66s and sitting on 40 year old chassis and using largely second hand parts. And potentially a bleak period ahead for rail freight in general.
