Currently studying Education with a guaranteed PGCE for Qualified Teacher Status at the end... but I'm increasingly thinking that I would prefer to take the Psychology route after the main Degree.

Actually this minute I am producing some spectra from the 5 week Mass Spec lab I just did for an interview tomorrow. (Already done them just now going back, adding labels and stuff).

Need to sort out my PGCE personal statement sharpish. Half done... Hate writing things like CV's and personal statements.

I'm a final year History student. Today I've been reading up on how the French Protestant movement was able to raise funds to finance the various wars of religion, although the textbook I was reading was more like an economics textbook than a history book!

For my dissertation I'm writing about the social and economic factors surrounding the creation of the Ryder Report (done all the primary research, just planning it at the moment)

Transport Engineering and Operations MSc. Hopefully there will be a job at the end of it, if not I'll be doing a PhD.

If anyone who is thinking of going to university I'd highly reccommend a Transport degree, but perhaps one which doesn't have business attached to it (Sprinterguy has already said the main reason, and I've heard from someone else who was doing a Transport and Business Management MSc that it is 80% business and the basics of transport).

One of the problems the industry as a whole is seeing is that there are less and less UK students doing transport-related courses, whilst international students are increasing. The problem this presents is that courses are now being tailored more towards international transport and not focussed on what happens in the UK, which is worrying.

I did business Studies for A Level. It was surprisingly entertaining. Moreover, I got a B. I started Philosophy and English and then Philosophy of Politics at two different unis, but kind of lost interest by the end of the second year, and never really got round to finishing it.

On my course, we've had our final year rail module cut at some point after I started my degree, when it was listed as one of the modules we would be undertaking, without any of us being told. Just brilliant, the one module that I would really know my way around without too much tuition has been removed from my course altogether. :roll:

It's certainly true what you say, there's a strong international focus on my degree, and not nearly enough coverage of local transport matters which is very much my forte and the area that I intend to pursue a career in.

Yeah, eventually the BTP.

Although at the moment the Met in particular are not recruiting any new officers and only taking on special constables which is the only way of applying for a full time constable I've been told.

Basicaly I enjoy making lights bright and loud noises. Oh and tempory power systems that alot of electricians wouldn't touch with a 10ft bardge pole!

Oooh I am jealous, lighting and sound for productions was something that I always enjoyed doing at school and I did consider doing a similar course at Uni but ended up doing history instead

I also did a few things that would make professionals/health and safety people have minor heart attacks, got the job done though
