No worries mate.good point - predicative text. Apologies.
I’m in one on almost a daily basis. Unbeatable value for coffee/breakfast. It’s a second messroom for me & much better than the first.

Oh yes there is:There is no A in Wetherspoons. That’s my biggest pet hate.

Yes I know. It was a joke (hence the smilies)That is not a real Wetherspoons, as they don't have any pubs in Spain.
Reminds me of the news story from years ago about a bloke who opened a discount store and called it "'arrods"...That is not a real Wetherspoons, as they don't have any pubs in Spain.
Not as good as the shopkeeper who named his store “Singhsburys”. He was threatened with legal action by the national chain, so changed the name… to “Morrisinghs”.Reminds me of the news story from years ago about a bloke who opened a discount store and called it "'arrods"...
Harrods sent him a cease-and-desist or similar, so he changed the name to "Not 'arrods"!
(assuming it isn't an urban legend of course)
Definitely, while many otherwise excellent pubs neglect their toilets.Surprising considering how poor the food and Beer is and how dirty the tables are.
I thought that Wetherspoons threw open their toilets to the general public about three or four years ago.And the gaping soulless anonymity of them means there's no-one to notice/care you're using them without buying a drink. Ideal for the caught-short-man-about-town.
What made you think that?I thought that Wetherspoons threw open their toilets to the general public about three or four years ago.
I'm sure it was announced somewhere. May have been announced in their magazine....or perhaps I read it in a CAMRA publication (maybe on CAMRA Discourse?)What made you think that?
I've never heard of that. But nobody would check or stop you from making use of the facilities.I'm sure it was announced somewhere. May have been announced in their magazine....or perhaps I read it in a CAMRA publication (maybe on CAMRA Discourse?)
That completely passed me by if they did.I thought that Wetherspoons threw open their toilets to the general public about three or four years ago.
Thing is they would never find them, become out of breath, or get lost.I thought that Wetherspoons threw open their toilets to the general public about three or four years ago.
Perhaps it was the drink and you heard ''Threw up in a Wetherspoons toilet'' which is quite common after eating and drinking at one.I thought that Wetherspoons threw open their toilets to the general public about three or four years ago.
