Hi There,

Probably a daft question.

Does the West Yorkshire Day Save peak time restriction mean you cannot start a journey between those times or does it mean you cannot be found on a train between those times.

It the departure time of where you board so you're fine for boarding a train at Leeds at 15:58 but if you were to board the same train at the next station at 16:06 it wouldn't be allowed, of course the peak restrictions are only Monday to Friday

As long as you start before 1600 you are fine, but you can't change trains any where once past 1600 until 1830

Just to clarify on this point, if using a West Yorkshire DaySaver ticket midweek, can you still board a late running train that was originally timed to depart at 1558, but doesn't arrive until 1602?

Yes, it goes on the booked time, you can't however board a late-running 1827 departure!

Next train, as it's not your fault, and crew will be aware it was cancelled, Northern Guards are quite good with things like this

On this point, my assumption was that you *could* catch a late running 18:27 (after 18:30). Can anyone point to T&Cs which would prevent?

The hypothetical late-running 18:27 discussed fulfils both of these criteria, so I would be happy to travel on it. The train is timed to depart after 09:30, and the actual time is after 18:29.

This wording was why I asked the question.

I genuinely wasn’t sure if the ticket just suddenly stopped being valid at 16:01 as the ‘timed to’ is only applied, in the wording, to the other restrictions.
