First day working in Brizzle today.

Took the 904 in the morning slightly after the usual rush and all was fine. Unfortunately the 1800 from Temple Meads never showed up after work

It would be nice if the Park and Ride fares get integrated into First's usual fares once they take over so that I can take the X39 on some days and the 904 on others all using the same monthly pass.

The current fare system for the Park and Ride is pretty flexible however, as one buys five or ten return journeys rather than a weekly or monthly ticket. Works for me as I'm in Birmingham later this week, for example.

Bugler's cancellation of 672 has gone through VOSA today effective 3/9. Think that's been expected for a while. I wonder who will take it on? Citistar and Somerbus won't, CT coaches is very unlikely. Maybe First or Wessex? Or maybe even someone like Crosville?

Yesterday these were being operated by a diverse collection of vehicles. The P&R to Cribbs Causeway was in the hands of SGBC deckers. The shuttle to Temple Meads saw a collection of VRs and RMs, including abus XHK 221X, North Somerset VDV 134S and AHW 201V, also Tony Curtis' RML2344. Turners Coaches had several coaches on both routes.
The shuttles are running again today.

3 Wessex B9TL/Gemini were heading Westbound on the M4 at Slough around 18:00 tonight. Further west at Swindon at around 17:00 was an all over red VR with Bangor on the destination, any ideas?

Saw a Wessex Scania OmniLink on the downs today with 123 on the rear display - didn't see the front, any ideas?

Given that they've got a 1 and a 12 (against the 2) perhaps this is their way of competing on the 3!

It's a sad sad day when you see the cancellation from Somerbus go through VOSA for 82/A and 175, effective 4/9. Ashame.

Especially as the 175 has that really nice Merc single deck on there (unique in the UK?). One of the nicest vehicles I've travelled on

Well it does have a few faults. Unexplainable rattles and a leaky windscreen. The power on it is amazing though. It's not quite unique - I think there's one other.

I think the bus will be staying with 175 whoever takes it on and Somerbus will be selling it.

Having had a check on flickr, looks like there's a few of them. Sarjeants have one (they like an odd machine - they bought a Prisma new) and looks like Carousel have some too

Seen Centurion in Wells on the shuttle twice today. Operated by ex Winford Queen coach. Looks very very muddy and mucky!

--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
Go South Coast have registered X80/80 from Frome to Bath just on Saturdays as of 25/7

So First now have Stagecoach hitting them from the North and Go Ahead from the east.

Aren't those just the existing Frome Minibuses services that Damory will instead running under tender that go from Gillingham to Frome and then onto Bath via the A36 twice on a Saturday?

No different from now, I suspect

i would expect that the 80/x80 is a bit of a awkward contract to have only being wednesday and saturday so frome minibus might have been happy to get rid.

stagecoach on the other hand could be interesting espesually if things are networked in the cotswolds
