Perhaps in the past but not nowadays. Their fleet vs. First is a lot newer esp. with 3 brand new e200s.

I cant work out if the previous owners bought it or it was randomly allocated (as it's YX), however it was more appropriate for them! Perhaps somebody in the licensing office has a sense of humour. (Or had as they've all been closed now).

It was a private plate for Tates Travel in Barnsley that recently went bust. They weren't that great though! Fair description of an e200, tbf

Hatch Green have cancelled both 776 and 113.

Will either get another company running those services? I know First has 174, which takes up most of the 776 route.

776 is cancelled because the 174 largely covers it and SCC can make the saving. These are most at a glance courtesy of FAVBUG

N9 – Withdraw Saturday service
776 – Withdraw service
N10C – Withdraw service on non-college days
33 – Withdraw service
81 – Withdraw funding, service to remain potentially at lower frequency, however there may be some developer money available to maintain the current service and potentially improve it
40 – Withdraw SCC contribution to Saturday service
53/58 – Withdraw SCC contribution to Saturday service
99 – Reduce funding, service frequency to reduce between Chard and Yeovil as per consultation
668 – Minor timetable revision during contract retendering
25 – Withdraw existing arrangement and tender for a new Dulverton – Wiveliscombe service. Taunton to Wiveliscombe remains commercial
20 – Withdraw SCC contribution
22 – Withdraw SCC funding for college journey from Tiverton/Cullompton, operator confirm journey’s to continue on a commercial basis

113 – Withdraw service, however local operators have indicated they will divert existing services to cover most of service 113
16 – Withdraw funding, service to be operated commercially and extended to Yeovil
67 – Funding withdrawn, service unaffected
6 – Service has already become commercial

Thanks for that GW. Pleased to see 776 go, 16 kept commercially and interesting about 668 - wonder if First will go for it?

timetables for the new circleuar services being run by carmels around north somerset are now on travelline. 88a and 88c will do what 88 currantly does, then run from north weston to portbury, wraxall (new section of rooute), a grand tour of nailsea, backwell to congresbury. the stuff on travelline shows the 88a taking layovers at yatton and 88c at nailsea, and it looks like the stop at the bungelows at congresbury wont be served. passerngers on 88a boarding at congresbury or yatton shops will have a 15 to 20 minuts wait at the station before going on to clevedon.

Well that will be interesting! Didn't think Wessex had any coaches though......

Dave

Avonmouth have 3 x Volvo B12B's/Plaxton Panthers allocated branded as 'Hallmark' (11520, 11522/23). They have been there since Aug/Sept last year,

Those'll be the ones that pop up on the 3X & similar occasionally.

The link from Wessex website re the Bicester coach says "Bicester Village coach shuttle operated by Hallmark Coaches & is brought to you by Wessex"

That's correct, especially prior to the UWE service reductions. Not sure what they are used for other than that, plus there is a Merc Sprinter & possibly another mini-coach

The Hallmark coaches have been dispersed around the group since Rotala vacated Long Acre depot, Preston has one used on private hires & rail replacement work

How is Stagecoaches Falcon take the exact same time as Megabus M36 from Bristol to Plymouth .... even though the Falcon makes multiple stops ........ Does the stop in Exeter really take up that much time?

Yes, the route between the motorway and central Exeter is fairly congested all day whereas Falcon does little more than circle the nearest roundabout for most of it's stops.
