747 appears to be on the swift today after an abrupt end to it's H1 diagram onto (im assuming) a transfer to derby
It certainly is on the swift. Most of the Derby spares that are out are on the sixes. Other routes have been running with buses missing today.

No surprise. At least 4 branded Sixes including one Volvo on Meadow Road. Two Villager Enviros in A garage too, one being HAA.

I very briefly saw 301 being towed in by a CWT recovery truck, who knows what happened that day...

One of the threes examples didn't even make it to Langley Mill on delivery without needing a new engine.

Its quite odd that it seems to be the norm and somewhat accepted now days, i’m assuming that ADL cover the costs on such new vehicles, threes one especially
It’d be interesting to compare how many E200s had new engines say in their first few years of service vs the volvos
Is the seating any better than the Stagecoach examples in Chesterfield? If you are over about 5' you can't get in to the seats as they are so close.
They seemed okay for me (5'10") or at least not any worse than the Citaros.

Well, that is testing my memory,as it must be nearly a year since I rode a Stagecoach one. The Kinchbus ones have 38 seats. I sat "upstairs" and I had no issues, and I'm 6ft tall.

Surely there must have been some form of driver error in that situation, like unless it was genuinely a big issue on ADLs end, then it's pretty hard to seize a brand new buses (or any new vehicles) engine

I'm sure in a past thread, someone mentioned something about Indian components is these engines. But if that happens on delivery, it would get costly for ADL in terms of both warranty and customer confidence in the product. If it kept happening (with other issues), it would be easy to see why operators turned to other manufacturers.

Could very well be the reason why NCTX had gotten rid of their E200MMCs in just 5-6 years and have strayed away from their buses coming forward, with them turning to wrightbus and yutong for long distance work and EVs respectively

Did a return trip on the Kinch 9 from Loughborough to Nottingham today. The outbound service was lovely and cool with the aircon in full effect.
The return was uncomfortably hot with no aircon. Only one hopper window which was locked shut. Several passengers approached the driver and asked him to cool the bus. He said he couldn't.
The aircon really needs to be on with only one hopper window on a warm day.

Reminds me of Class 158 DMUs, with failed aircon. I really wanted a Class 153 those days

Although the wright ultroliners seem to have had a patchy start too with a few having a week or so off the road at the time. Same engines as these E200s so maybe its just not a reliable engine option
It took over from 334 which stopped short at EMA towards Leicester, starting at loughborough towards derby and returning back before 334 was swapped back to its original diagram onwards to Leicester. But it got me wondering how far could these electrics actually go/how many diagrams could it do on skylink if it needed to. I was lucky to get my photo of it on there although rushed

Blimey. Good job you weren't on the 12.15 ,9 ex Loughborough. I presume the sharp braking might be down to the retarder. I will say those floor mounted seats were quite comfortable for a 45 journey

Enviro 200MMC's had an issue with the engine mountings for a while; so basically the engines were coming loose with catastrophic consequences.
