They are team leaders - lead drivers operate the traffic office (run out/in, allocations, service regulation) and team leaders look after day to day service delivery / branding side of things.

Suttons are done by a former driver
Langley Mill's are done by a current driver, Nottingham's too I believe, a few years ago they asked for local volunteers so it kept the local feel. Michael's voice is the standard for announcing diversions across the businesses.

Last time I've checked, BVS is in White Knight livery (grey-ish/white). Only MRD 1 (201) and SN59 AWW (233) are the 2 I know of in generic grey other than 219 (now 1417)

The Solos havent got too long left allegedly, but again as always - if it's been said once it's been said a thousand times.

I wonder what the average recovery time is now? I know one driver who waited just over 5 hours in Bakewell.. Good job many incidents are a lot closer to depots.

Waited 3 hours in Denby on Monday for a tyre change

Last Wednesday was at Leabrooks corner (on the traffic lights initially) for 2 hours for recovery truck. CWT are pretty good but our base is close to them, as are most of our routes.

CWT 1N delivered it back to Meadow Road. When I travel around, I am stunned how some CAR drivers ever passed their test. Some car drivers just can't put their phone down either.

Honestly I don’t know. I was head down doing the crossword in the paper. There was an almighty bang, my bag flew down the anisle, and the bus came to an abrupt halt. The bus driver and five passengers seemed ok (driver got off to go over to the Fiesta) but the Fiesta driver shouted “call an ambulance.” The front of the bus was bashed into the rear of the Fiesta [which had been going the same way and I would guess - but don’t know for sure - was about to turn right across traffic just on a bend in the main road].

Yesterday (Good Friday) I took a trip to Burton on the Xprss, on entering Burton I spotted a V3 heading out along Derby Road towards Clay Mills at about 3.10pm.
Trent's web page says National Grid are carrying out essential work on Repton Road, Newton Solney from 28/3 to 13/4, diversions will be in place.
For my return journey I thought I'd get the 5.20 V3 to see what was going on.....Nothing! It took the normal route, no sign of any road works.

Bus times are showing 2 buses per hour from Burton on the V3 at xx55 and xx15, this must be rubbish by why would a V3 be heading out along Derby Road in mid-afternoon?

Quick look on bus times suggests the road was reopened in Newton so all V3 yesterday resumed the normal route. Would assume works are finished, or they have just removed the closures for Easter.

329 was on x38 at about that time, was that the bus you saw in Clay Mills?

Assume data issue with V3 timetable. Maybe with it being good Friday the Sunday and normal Friday times were showing for whatever reason?

Both 491 and 492 started the day at Matlock so there wasn't much choice on what they could go on. If they were at Belper they probably would of ended up on the 6.2.

They were lucky if they were, as it looks like 491 never made it to Bakewell. 492 was on the following 6.1. Hopefully the refurbished Volvo's will improve reliability.
