Maybe it is short term. You could say it is in TM Travel livery like 831 and 832, which are now in service up there But Mango livery would be offering a product that is not available there. Hope Kinchbus aren't short of buses soon.
501 is in Kinchbus livery.
I think his point was, why transfer a Kinchbus liveried Solo SR, when you could just as easily send a Mango one or a compliant red one .
It is entirely possible they inputted the wrong ID into the ticket machine, as 832 is out tracking with TM today.
I think the road is still open outbound, at the moment at least, so just inbound journeys diverting and missing the drop off stop on Derwent Street.

I thought initially it was due to a building being demolished in Phoenix Street, but it is the flood defence works. Yes, you'd think they would follow the U1 route to the Inner Ring Road. Quite a few traffic lights mind, so probably far quicker via Sir Frank Whittle Way missing out a lot of stops
I would think they cover a lot of miles 7 days a week.

I do hope that they procure a decent replacement when their time comes. Purely from a customer rather than a technical perspective, they’re very comfy little buses and the Nottsbus On Demand is a great service.
The other one was at 393k km at last MOT. I'll leave others to say at what point that type of bus is considered life expired.
We haven't had too many issues with our Sprinters on DRT work but it very much depends on how intensively they are being run and how busy the service is. We have found that when deploying on regular services you need to be careful to select the schedules to avoid over-stressing the vehicles. If they are running 7 days a week and they don't have a spare to rotate vehicles then they will be pushing them and then you just have the question about how busy the specific DRT workings they cover are as to how pushed the buses will be.

Odd. 669 seemed to work the 6X from Derby to Belper, then take the 6.1 forward from Belper to Matlock, which 491 had worked up from Derby.Well I knew it would be a matter of time before 669 ended up terminating at Matlock... Swapped with 491
491 had its engine bay door open so probably overheated...

Brilliant, thank you. I really enjoy the Nottsbus On Demand service - always find the buses very comfortable and as usual with Kinchbus the drivers pretty consistently friendly. Hopefully it continues.
