I would compare it to the same as an airplane... if you are over 6ft, it would be uncomfortable if you have a seat neighbour.

Now that 128 is likely to return to Skylink Nottingham, will this mean that 669 can finally be withdrawn?
If they was to get rid of 669, I would assume they would keep it in service till the MOT runs out on the 14 December (as this runs out before the tax) or till it breaks down, whichever happens first, even if that means nottsderby running it into the ground, then using it as a parts bus for the two at TM and the trainer bus.
Looks like NCT are going to be providing some indirect competition against the cotgrave going via a slightly different route and onto cropwell bishop replacing the 33.

Put it this way ... last week - not untypical of weeks over recent weeks, months, years - 801, 830. 831, 832 all fell by the roadside at some time other, with inevitable gaps in service. 801 was the worst offender with late pm service on 11 particularly badly hit on both Monday and Thursday - and no replacement found.
Guess Kinch management and drivers are as fed up with Versa reliability as their long suffering passengers.
Kinch 12 had a bad day Friday, and strange to say, 831 saved the day, maintaining an hourly service all day (though looking at Bustimes you might wonder what happended between 07:50 and 09:50 - my guess is a tracking failure rather than vehicle defect) Kinch did manage to add Sprint Solo 1 on the service from 11:20 - but that was of questionable value, running most of the afternoon around 25 minutes late and at times in tandem with 831.
Though 831 seems to have performed well on this occasion, fellow Versas 801, 830, 832 were nowhere to be seen on Friday - and apparently not available to help out on 12. 801 and 832 still haven't ventured out from the depot, though 830 is on 2/3 today.

Haven't seen it up at Langley Mill. 742 and 745 are around so maybe repainted into Notts and Derby soon?
At least one of the 11/12 branded versas is up at Langley Mill and has been debranded.

One could well have been 733 then but certainly 2 green Volvo's there. Sometimes the Notts and Derby decker's end up on the Royal Derby in the holidays to keep them active which frees up single decker's.

A couple of times in the week, I nearly ended up on a former Lothian Enviro 400 heading to the Royal. Once just missed an ex Nottingham Scania.. But the Volvo single deckers are just fine.

I suppose with the new skylink buses entering service it has allowed for some of the less reliable ones to be withdrawn/cascaded away earlier with the more reliable spares being retained.
from bustimes.org the dedicated DRT buses haven't been tracking for a few days with spare sprints covering them...

1030 apparently saw service on Keyworth Connection last Saturday/Sunday, and according to Bustimes is now garaged at Broadmarsh. Where is that, exactly? Seems to be quite a large facility from the number of vehicles stationed there. You do sometimes wonder if 1030/1031 are really up to the job - one or other is frequently out of action for months at a time. Most recent long absence was from 9 Apr to 28 May when 1031 was missing from DRT duties.

the vans have been plagued with issues since Kinch started the DRT, wonder if they plan to upgrade the vehicles soon.
