It happened when 151 was sitting on Derby Road near the former 3M during the night of the 8th/9th of April, apparently while waiting time on its way to Derby.

Thanks for letting me know.

The timetables for the new Notts & Derby Link1 and Link2 services are now on their website, times are as previously posted but interesting that most of the services will be through journeys to/from the Royal Derby service (to Derby and the Florence Nightingale/Railway Station) and a through ticket will be available

Link 1 timetable - Heatherton and Littleover
Link 2 timetable - Mickleover and Mackworth
The service change is actuallypretty smart.

Question about sprint. Why does it terminate at Mechanical Engineering after 18:20? Wouldn't it make sense for it to terminate at STEMlab, since the bus would pass the stop anyway when turning around?

The whole thing is a University contract, the decision will have been made by them

Orange Optare Solo 486 is tracking on Rolls Royce shuttles. The expansion of the Notts and Derby fleet continues. The future is bright, well certainly orange

I suspect it was taken out of service when services were cut back during COVID. As passenger numbers rose, and revenue, more buses could be put back into service.
Not quite.

It went out of action due to engine & chassis problems last year.

484, then 485 then 486 were the order in which buses were moved from connect.

Those two issues would suggest it was terminal. Yet here it is, back in service.

I don't see it taking long for connect to disappear then... normally when routes lose branded vehicles they disappear..
As a route it won't disappear, but I wouldn't be surprised to see the operator transferred.

Does anyone know what is happening to the indigo branded buses at the moment, they are normally pretty reliable, but recently there have been many off, there's only 6/14 in service this evening! Any ideas why?

4 pot! Not to mention the route is very stop start so it wouldn't help with the engines.

I noticed during the day, 7 spare buses have tracked. Add in 142 is double tracking on Indigo and Cotgrave. One Indigo has an expired MOT and others expire at the end of the month. Lucky some expire at various dates in 2025. That all said, one service to Derby is showing as cancelled.

It would make them stop/stop in odd places. But then you'd expect the same with the Nines Enviros which are slightly older.... Hang on.....

I just meant the vehicle was stopping and starting alot (with the amount of stops on route)...not the stop/start tech. But yeah the stop start tech would knacker the engine too

I noticed 115 is double tracking too, on Indigo and Mainline, so maybe not that many buses are off.

I'm sure at least one Allestree Enviro is on its third starter motor. Several have had more than one engine.. Lovely buses. What's not to like. ;)

The v3 lost it's villager branding and is still running to the same timetable. You may find it just stays a spare route or as a bit so wild speculation ex Mickleover's 105 and 106 become orange for the route.

Which buses are these? It's odd as the 4-pot engines have generally been pretty reliable (oh if only they had but 6-pot on the route ) but now everything has gone to pot! I would imagine the indigo buses are on the list for a renewal relatively soon in the next couple of years, especially as its arguably trentbarton's second flagship route. Alongside the skylink Nottingham I'd say!

Well my bus, 206, broke down this morning

It doesn't bode well for one of the most frequent and busiest services trentbarton operate, hope these issues are resolved soon, or at least it's ensured there's enough spares!

Doesn't help its getting cold. The busses will be running all day.. heating up then sitting at night.. getting freezing cold... Process repeats and pipes crack and breakdowns occur.

Definitely. If it keeps going downhill at the rate it is now, I could see 1 or 2 spares being moved from other depots. The Skylink Derby situation doesn’t help either as Manvers Street still has 109 over at Kinchbus.

109 was replaced, they got 713 in its place. They will be due another bus soon enough with the solars getting displaced. Luckily manvers currently have 662 or 663 spare depending on which gets placed on snx.

Does anyone know how much these engines are to replace?
