Definitely. If it keeps going downhill at the rate it is now, I could see 1 or 2 spares being moved from other depots. The Skylink Derby situation doesn’t help either as Manvers Street still has 109 over at Kinchbus.

Having to use so many buses on X38 nowadays isn't helping.

I was told a Volvo engine was about £50k and an Enviro 200MMC engine about £18k, but that seems a BIG difference

Looking at the reliability of the MMCs today, there's a clear disparity between the 4 and 6 pot MMCs:

RM: 9/9- 6 pot MMCs
SN: 8/8- 6 pot MMCs
I4: 12/13- 6 pot MMCs
COT: 3/3- 6 pot MMCs
R1: 15/16- 6 pot MMCs
Threes: 18/18, one breakdown- 6 pot MMCs
Indigo: 7/14, two breakdowns- 4 pot MMCs
Nines: 12/14- 4 pot MMCs
Allestree: 4/4- 4 pot MMCs
Villager: 5/5- 6 pot MMCs
IF- 7/8- 6 pot MMCs
H1- 6/6- 6 pot MMCs

Ah but have you taken into account the Enviro 200MMCs that were double tracking? At least 115 and 142. Some of the Indigos seem to be on MOT preparation. The Mickleover has one of six out due to RTA.

115 was from around 17.03, but I think 142 has done all day. Maybe the issue is problems with ticket machines and they are being swapped left, right and centre

The v3 lost it's villager branding and is still running to the same timetable. You may find it just stays a spare route or as a bit so wild speculation ex Mickleover's 105 and 106 become orange for the route.

It was quite early into when they were getting mmcs. So they were testing different variety to see what suited them best

They have a relatively lower fuel consumption which would definitely be a factor to consider.

Which buses are these? It's odd as the 4-pot engines have generally been pretty reliable (oh if only they had but 6-pot on the route ) but now everything has gone to pot! I would imagine the indigo buses are on the list for a renewal relatively soon in the next couple of years, especially as its arguably trentbarton's second flagship route. Alongside the skylink Nottingham I'd say!

I think perhaps they could put up one nice big order for the Indigo, Skylink Nottingham and Skylink Derby.

Does anyone know why the wheels on Trent's earlier MMCs are the standard steel affair, but later on they seemed to get chromed wheels (Not sure if they're alloy or just hubcaps). Are these an optional extra because the dealer spec Unibus vehicles on 72 plates have steel wheels.

I would like to see what they would do with 728-731 once not needed and mabey this means 727 may become spare as it's not needed for keyworth now and it's been sanded down a bit already

727 had moved from the back row of langley when i went past on monday, either that or it was hidden behind the training bus. But there was a white mmc sat there.

It'll be 726 to 734 all needing a new place (once ilkeston flyer's x38s have been sorted). All chronologically, could mean another larger route brand gets "upgraded".

Doubt 703 would, but yeah sixes caught my eye for it. Would make more sense in my opinion for them to repaint 725 (since its in the disappearing red mango livery) however it would need usbs adding to be consistent across the brand

Had a quick look on the discord, there is evidence, but not very convincing. Just seems they have been unbranded to me. If anyone else has any other findings please tell us.

There is definitely a colour change, the lighting isn't the best though but im fairly sure its a similar colour to the current volvos.

Also remember the vinyls would get applied at langley so it would end up being unbranded version anyway

Interesting. Will the operation remain the same? Littles only have one service route left now, so could we see it become the private hire arm of Wellglade? There's also two ex Trent Tempos in the fleet, back with their original company. I wonder what'll happen to fleet numbers?
