Just spotted a plain white Yutong coach on the A52 with what looked like two trentbarton staff up front, most likely starting training for the Red Arrow upgrade.

There was a report of a Yutong coach at Langley Mill the other day. Could be training the Flixbus drivers too.

I believe it's only to help out during service disruption, the same reason an Indigo E200 worked a Mainline service yesterday
High Peak 506 seemed to stop tracking in Duffield and the A6 was closed by the Whitworth Hospital top side of Matlock earlier.

Is 109 really that bad? Buses these days seem to get rebuilt, unless they are bent like a banana /bent frame.

It's more the fact that it'll take enough time to repair that the Yutongs will be in service so it won't be seen with Kinch anymore

They were due to start tomorrow. Then it got pushed back to 23rd June, now it's showing on Flix website as 1st July though I'd take that date with a very large pinch of salt.
The services they were supposed to be running were available to book, in fact I think I'm probably booked on one of the Wellglade Flix services in a couple of weeks. Have these services just been cancelled?

Trips prior to the 1st July have been cancelled. For dates after that, don't hold your breath too much. 2 pushbacks so far, and it's currently showing as a 'big bang' approach with everything starting on one day which is a LOT for any company to mobilise 11 new vehicles in one day across 2 depot for a long distance contract work where lots can go wrong.

Do you know which trip you are using (don't share dates) and I will check on my timetables to see who the operator is.

Noticed on the 770 (BF65 WLE) that the onboard signage is now active, voiceover and all. How long have these been inactive for? It's interesting to see them working again after ages.

Was 1st July when the more intense (full) timetable was meant to start, with just a few trips prior to that in June? I assume it has been postponed mainly due to lack of coaches! Chalfont are supposed to be starting on the Heathrow services soon too.

No, it was down to all start on 12th June (today) as a 'big bang'. Then it was delayed with the everything being 23rd June. Then it was just the 002 starting 23rd June. Then it became everything starting 1st July.

I am struggling to see how there are issues with coaches when McGills have just purchased a bunch of Flix specced Yutongs from a 'cancelled order' to repaint (https://www.railforums.co.uk/thread...wshire-inverclyde.117550/page-52#post-7306931). Surely logically someone would have rearranged things to release some buses to the Flix network.

Exact reasonings I am unsure so can't confirm, but given no one has seen a Flix coach at any of the Wellglade depots yet, it does seem to be lack of coaches.

Purely to reply to this, Chalfont already started them in April, and has just enhanced them today, and due to enhance it next week as well. Happy to discuss further in the Flixbus thread.

I'm sure the boat will arrive on June 19th
