Would make sense for it to be back early next week, have it in use for download to allow a slightly larger vehicle available to use over a solo on their busier routes while the bigger vehicles are used on download work

Surely they would be used on download work? Obviously they would also have school runs to also complete some of which need double deckers too. Wouldn't be surprised if we see a few loans again, last year there was a littles optare tempo which was mainly used on the 27 i believe

And even if, I'd think Sutton depot would not be dig enough to cope with extra buses.

It would cope with about 10 more, it was 'uncomfortable' at best when there was believe it or not another 18 buses based in there a few years back.

I suppose if they did make anything of stores road into a depot rather than just a field to store vehicles from time to time (believe there was plans for this to be the new depot location when the current one is outgrown) whilst unlikely they could reevaluate which depots ran which routes to make space.

Yes even some of Trent’s branded eclipses were drafted in at one point to do download shuttles. Left them with solar dest displays for a short while until it was corrected as there wasn’t one made for the eclipses last year. Don’t know if they’ll update them this year tho…

There is a plain white 74 plate Yutong GT12 at Langley Mill currently. Arrived Monday on trade plates.

I’m assuming it’s a demonstrator and will be used for driver training and familiarisation ahead of the Flixbus deliveries?

Two drivers have been familiarised already who will train the other drivers, so it's likely so to quickly put the vehicles into service when they arrive

Looking closely at the large new style skylink logos on the sides of 333 it has blue, black and yellow lines through it...

Make of that what you will and there's enough of the current Skylink Leicester allocation to allow a full upgrade of the Skylink Nottingham with a few spares left over.

Heard wellglade are looking at buying skills not sure if it's true if it is would make sense as it means all rail replacement would be done by wellglade and medilink can be run from either Sutton or Nottingham to save dead running

Do doubt they would buy tho as along with what others said they would only buy it for new customer base (with other than rail which they don't do alot of and NatEX which if happened would imagine to stop) which is only unless I'm wrong holiday excursions and School/Collage contracts like Trent collage left.

So if anything, would assume it make more sence to only buy part of the business (solely excursions to run alongside littles) and the Trent collage contract than buy a whole business which they cant do much with.

Would of thought now that wellglade owns littles and don't need pay for loans as such would just take a few of those littles deckers which don't track or shown on bustimes, aslong any isn't hired out or tied up as such on other work. I know notts derby has loaned one of the deckers before (Plaxton or ALX400 mabey both) but they do have I think 4 E400s, which they could use for busy times after school runs are done alongside nottsderby. Wouldn't be surprised see some sort of loans tho either.

I hope not, looks ugly. Plus the Skylink express has just been given new buses and repainted this year into the current skylink gray livery so unless the repaint which to be fair never know with Trent seems dumb to repain a bus again within a few months when there's no need to.

I mean i think it happened to the H1 having versas then replacing with volvos not long after but surely not as there only 3 years older and wouldn't thought milage be as high as yellow skylinks as most time it only goes to EMA only few going down to coalville and that leg is not 24/7. Personally would thought it would last a year or two more so they can replace the nottingham and express skylinks together. They do have enough for Skylink Nottingham and Express but express only just got replaced.

Personally makes more sence replacing other routes. If was me I'll send the skylinks to the two then the twos to the sixes and dish out the versa to replace some of the B7s

I think the Sixes Versas would be compliant in Sheffield. . That should see off more non compliant buses with TM Travel.

The livery is certainly a change and growing on me. The only thing I’m not a fan of is the line running through the work “Skylink” on the sides I think it would look better off without it personally. Do think it’s interesting that there is also a light blue and a grey line included in the design too nodding to the other services that fall under the Skylink brand. I think that we could potentially see a similar redesign to the Nottingham and express in the years to come.

I don't really understand bus open data enough to point out different things but I was looking at bus open data linked below which has a critical Data quality report which ive never seen before stating the Download shuttle around the airport (PC0001135:85) is specified in the data set but is not registered with a local bus registrations authority.
Is that normal and is there some sort of exemption or should it be registered with the local bus reg authority?

This is because the traffic commissioners licensing office is so far behind at the moment - I had the same message appearing for a service in one of the datasets I manage, but the service in question most definitely was registered with the local bus registration authority! It eventually disappeared after a few weeks when the TC’s office caught up.

This will fix itself when TrentBarton refresh their data. It's listed on the registration search. The issue with BODS is the quality check is only done when the dataset is uploaded/refreshed. As such any issues with external database which get fixed since the operator data was last refreshed (in this case, TBs data was refreshed 23rd May), won't be reflected.

You will also notice that in the advisory area, it says that the DPA service is using stops which aren't found in NAPTAN. This is categorically false though and the stops are in NAPTAN and have been since around April, but the BODS team refuse to update the version of naptan because it would break the analyse BODS area. So because they can't sort their systems, operators are having warnings put on their data which are completely false. It's making operators look bad all because KPMG can't do their jobs and provide a functioning system.

Just a side note the blue is nothing to do with the other Skylink brands. It's the same shade of blue East Midlands Airport use in their branding

But it could be the blue that Skylink Nottingham use when they next replace their buses.
