According to bustimes.com, 842 is already in the harlequin base livery. Does anybody actually know which buses will go where?

Wasn't 842 the second Sixes Versa to come off? 845 being the first. Wonder if that is getting rebuilt?

845 is listed as SORN so it probably won't come back for the time being and as for 842, for the past month or two, I have been seeing a sixes versa parked up in Langley Mill, so it was most likely 841, 2 or 3 as they've all seen a good amount of time off the road

This is a guess, but based on 842 being painted for Harlequin…..
836 to 840 for Swift
841 & 842 for Harlequin
843 to 845 for Comet.

Maybe they will paint 846 or 847 instead. Then if 845 ever comes back, they can paint it as a red spare.
846 has been said to be used in lieu of 845

I've not seen any reports of 845 having been repaired.

It would be rather odd if it was repaired and not returned to service
Not sure how bad the damage was but there have been plenty of other vehicles that were essentially a writeoff being repaired and returned to service, 750 being an example.
Depends if they have a parts donor to use on 845.

I did see 845 after the accident. Just imagine someone driving a SUV into the front nearside, at some speed. I'm just glad it was nearside ,rather than offside. Is there that many suitable donor Versas around these days ?

I’m sure I saw a photo of it stood in plain livery post repair in the yard at Langley Mill.
Then again, my memory is not what is once was, so I’m probably wrong!!

Was there enough of it left? Isn't there still an orange one, that isn't used for driver training? I recall last time they needed parts, they acquired an ex Manchester Airport hybrid.

817 is there too as an apprentice bus, there's also 816 away for a(nother) new engine, too

They do seem to get through some engines. On the "plus" side, it suggests it has a future at one of the depots . Presume 813 is still a trainer. Maybe 810 is still at TM Travel.
813 is certainly still in use at the training school.

As confirmed above 813 is used in training school, typically used on the finishing school duty which training school 'graduates' take part in after passing their test, simulating conditions that you'd experience on the road before going to depot (wheelchair loading, ticketer practice etc.) This explains why it 'tracks' on a route to Hucknall (goes the same way as the 34) Also used on driver assessments. did ask about 810 and was told it was awaiting repair at TM.
819 was scrapped as it was on the threes before the end and obviously 812 had a slight overheating issue.

I’ll never understand why Trent kept these versas, they are honestly awful vehicles, does anyone remember which versa caught fire in Sutton? Was it 827?

I would imagine it is because have a lot of them so to replace them would cost a lot of money AND they are still worth more on the books than they'd get for selling them so a double financial whammy.

And there is a problem. In a perfect world, one might replace all the Versas, Solos and most of not all of the Volvos.. But I would say that since COVID, the future isn't clear. Well certainly not for massive investment if the returns are not there. .What will happen when the fare cap ends? Is franchising a threat or benefit? Will the EM Mayor have a deliverable plan, following on from over 20000 responses? Are we in such a period of uncertainty where leasing buses rather than buying kicks in? So many great unknowns.
