I know that 220's can do 0-60 in 60 seconds, where as 221's take 10 seconds longer, but does this really have a big impact on the overall performance of the 221's, in comparison with 220's, in non-tilt areas/or when the 221 has had tilt isolated/removed?
I suppose now that half the tilting equipment has been removed from the Supers, they should manage 0-60 a bit quicker. The only real advantage now of removing of the tilting bits, less to wrong, and they weigh less! Which is a super plus as they were rivalling Michelle MacManus for weight beforehand...

Hello, I'm new to the forum. I was hoping someone could help me out.
On Wednesday 18th February, I'm on the 18.10 Euston to Nuneaton, which I believe goes onto Holyhead. My tickets have arrived and they say I'm in Coach K. I thought the North Wales services were all Voyagers from the new timetable and I wasn't aware that Voyagers have a Coack K, but I do know that Pendolinos do. Does anyone have any information as to whether a Pendolino is diagrammed on this route at that time. Obviously if there is, it will be hauled from Crewe by a Class 57. I do hope it is a Pendolino as I get plenty of XC Voyagers up to Sheffield. Any information is greatly appreciated.

Yep, xx:10 departures from London Euston to Holyhead, on weekdays are Super Voyagers.
I think the Coach K allocation, as previously stated, is because of the double-length allocation.
The 18:10, IIRC is always a double, as one portion travels forward to Holyhead from Chester, whilst the other goes to Wrexham General.
Also worth noting, is the fact that all Welsh Super Voyagers are now re-lettered, meaning that coach A is the quiet zone, with B, C, D(Shop/First Class), and E (First Class/Kitchen Galley).
As for double-sets with the new re-assignment of letters.. goodness knows!

I don't know why, but it only appears to have taken place on the London-North Wales Super Voyagers, and not elsewhere..

Close, but with a 221. Compared to the heavenly delights of proper seats on the NXEC HSTs on 17th January, everything finally clicked and I realised how much I was wasting my life on 220s and 221s.
