I imagine the Queen Mum is a little tired after all these 65 years of service - delivered August 1964. Which was the last class 47 to receive a zero hours rebuilt Sulzer engine ?

If the 47 were to go for repair for a while, could they manage with just the 37? Or (Hypothetically) they could look into one of the GBRF 47's as I don't think they sold? (Correct me if I'm wrong)

Fair enough, maybe makes sense as to why they didn’t sell, I thought they were going to be snapped up quickly.

VT have hired 37418 in the past, as well as Class 20s, so I suspect they may do the same if their existing diesel fleet isn't enough to cover their needs.

Midland 1000 4P compound my pipe dream loco to see her on the mainline as I were too young to remember her on the mainline preservation tours although I were only a young lad.
