So this must be the 3rd/4th time a track problem has occurred somewhere on the Victoria line. Considering I never heard of these occurring so frequently whats going on? The night tube taking its toll?

Surely the number of trains that go over the track has only gone up by a few percent by introducing the night tube.

If maintenance is ACTUALLY being reduced to accommodate these extra services then maybe this would eventually show some signs of additional issues.

I'd assume that this is merely the fact that the bulk of the track is the same age, or likely coincidence.

Possible that the new fleet of trains a few years ago is putting unexpected stresses on the track?

There has been new trains on the line for 8 years now...

I suspect it's part of the track that hasn't been upgraded?

Don't know what the specific problem is here, but if it is related to fatigue or gauge corner cracking for example, it could take some time to emerge.
