Great opportunity to get your foot in the door, with view to becoming a driver or whatnot. Even staying on the stations has good options for progression. Once you've completed 6 months probation after training you can apply for any internal vacancy. Good luck!

Not allowed to apply as I applied to the 021781 position (failed SJT) all the way back in January! Is it worth just applying anyway or creating a new account to apply?

It specifically says in the application not to apply, if you do then it will be thrown out. Wait for the next advert as you don't want to get on the bad side of the recruitment staff.

I think the intention is for them to build a pool of "the best" and eliminate those candidates that didn't make the cut last time by not allowing them to apply again. Otherwise they'd just be going in circles with the same people trying again and again. I think it's a reasonable policy considering the ridiculous number of applications they get each time this role is advertised.

True but i also disagree. if you determined to get it and do better then it's a long wait. Got to interview stage but wasn't successful. Now it's a long wait till I can re-apply.. but I don't know why they said there is no longer a 6month wait but in the adverts your barred if you have applied for the post numbers listed!
