I too feel sorry for you - you are being treated very unfairly. In many other situations we hear about on these forums I can understand the actions of the staff but in this case they are indefensible. I would encourage you to go higher with your complaint; by the sounds of it you have acted reasonably at all times. If you continue to get no response then it may well be worth contacting your MP.

Will you be making the journey on any of these days: 12 August, 22, 24 August? If so, I could possibly go to Euston to witness this behaviour...

So basically staff representing Virgin are refusing to look up validity codes and make up their own rules. That is totally unacceptable.

Names and details need to be given to very high up managers I think...

Virgin barrier staff have a history of this sort of unacceptable behaviour, see http://www.virgintrains.org.uk/complaint.htm

And yes, it can take many months to get Virgin to accept that the barrier staff were incorrect.

Sorry to bump this thread, but I have to agree that the behaviour of the staff at Euston is inexcusable. If they can;t, or won;t check restriction codes they should let the passneger through.

I wouldn't blame the individuals though. It;s clearly the result of very poor training and practice within Virgin. The response of the Team leader clearly indicates that the prevailing culture is one that sees every passenger as a liar who is attempting to cheat the system. And of course a culture of "blame everyone else"!
