Milngavie - The Scots name for Rodin's The Thinker.
Barnstaple: The largest item of stationary in the world.
Mallaig: Just above my ankle.
How naughty are these allowed to be? I ask as I have some rather lewd ones that are most likely post-watershed.

I don't think you quite understood why this joke originated with Japanese speakers.
It does not work when simply migrated to a different group of people, unfortunately.![]()
Damn. I thought it was the Japanese who say L instead of R and the Chinese who say R instead of L?
Oh well, just swap Chinese for Japanese and ignore any references to their Communist party! Hold on, I'll just rewrite it...

Trump- The Yorkshire word for bird or mammal's rear.
I don't really know how this joke came about. Japanese alphabet has no "r" sound, which means that many Japanese people cannot pronounce the "r" sound, because they never have to.
Chinese people generally don't have this issue, as both exist in the Chinese language, although Cantonese speakers tend to have more of a problem getting English pronunciation right, as the Cantonese dialect only has 45 different "sounds", northern dialects in general 46, both lacking most importantly the "e" sound (as in "deckchair"), and Wu-dialect 51, comprising all that exist in the English language (49 I think iirc). Ethnic languages vary. You can often tell by the way English is spoken whereabouts people are from.![]()
