Uni Interview Problems

I have two interviews coming up. Plymouth on Monday 1st Feb and Reading on Wendesday 3rd Feb.

Obviously it makes little sense to come back to Liverpool for Tuesday.

Can I go Liverpool > London > Plymouth > Reading > London > Liverpool on one ticket over the several days?

No. London is not a Permitted Route with a Liverpool Stations - Plymouth ticket. You would need more than one ticket.

A Liverpool to Plymouth ticket is probably not permitted via London. (I haven't checked the maps, but there is no 'LONDON' in the list).

Runcorn to Plymouth does have a routeing of London. (this is not priced by Virgin, so you can't officially use a peak-time Virgin train with your Railcard, but I've no idea how you are supposed to know this!)

Do you have other plans when you are there? A Freedom of the South West may be of some use if you are doing other travelling.

A Liverpool to Swindon return would get you into the area, although it's significantly cheaper for 'not London', you could travel via Reading with this.

(Also, you can book the Holiday inn Express in Swindon at £55 for both nights - it's very close to the Station, and the 'Steam' attraction is nearby and worth visiting). Then you are in easy reach of Bath, Bristol, Penzance etc. with your Rover ticket.

OK, solved the problem, but caused another.

My Plymouth interview has now been moved to 25/01 (this coming Monday)

The best I can do is £80!!

I'd also like to via London if possible, but will accept Bristol if it's much cheaper!

Splitting at Bristol would appear to take it down to £71.20, though I haven't checked much else.
