Trivia: Services that call at the same station twice

Is there many National Rail services that call at the same station twice on the same journey?

For example the Brighton to Ore service calls at Hampden Park, Eastbourne and Hampden Park again before continuing its journey to Ore.

The Kingston Loop service from London Waterloo (to Waterloo) calls at both Vauxhall (stops 1 and 22) and Clapham Junction (stops 3 and 21) twice.

What about the Hounslow loop, they must call at all stations between Waterloo and Barnes in both directions and also some of the North Kent Loops and Fife Circle? I think they may be some to to South of Glasgow too?

And talking of loops, the Thameslink Sutton/Wimbledon loops would strictly speaking call twice at all stations between Luton and Streatham.

The Hadfield line journeys which do the 'loop' after Dinting (i.e. Dinting-Glossop-Hadfield-Dinting, or vice versa), which is most of them, are shown on tracking as Manchester Piccadilly to Manchester Piccadilly services and therefore call at most stations twice, but passengers travelling from A to B don't actually need to pass twice through the same station. The same applies to the journeys which operate Blackburn-Todmorden-Manchester Victoria-Blackburn(-Clitheroe), and to the South London services mentioned above. Unlike the situation regarding Hampden Park, Bare Lane, and Georgemas Junction.

No they don't. They 'terminate' at Sutton aa one service and re-start as the return service with a new headcode.

I'll add the Cannon St - Slade Green - Cannon St rounder service.

Rear portion of the 2138 from Merthyr Tydfil calls twice at Radyr. Technically I guess it's two trains (two different headcodes), but it's advertised on platforms on the Merthyr line as terminating at Radyr.

Of course the "old" Hamilton Circle service when it used to run to/from Glasgow Central high level prior to the Argyle line opening in 1979 called at Rutherglen, Cambuslang and Newton both on the way in and the way out.

Technically the Kingston loop services which call at the same station twice are not on tje same tracks either.

In the summer 1997 there used to be an Edinburgh to Penzance which would run via Paignton calling at Newton Abbot and Torquay twice.

The current peak time Manchester Piccadilly to Manchester Piccadilly all call at all the same stops twice. (Glossop line)

There used to a few trains not so long ago, that called at Exeter St. Davids, Exeter Central, Exeter St. Davids or V.V.

Also when there is track work sometimes, the Shepperton Waterloo trains, go in and out of Kingston Bay platform calling at Teddington, Hampton Wick, Kingston, Hampton Wick, Teddington.

Various flavours of SE rounders from Cannon St will call at London Bridge twice in the same journey. Some may also call at Lewisham twice.

The Fife Circle doesn't have any diagrammed circular services, although trains will run unadvertised from Kirkcaldy to Glenrothes (and vice versa) to which it's not uncommon to have a passenger or two remain onboard, before heading back round and double calling at Inverkeithing, North Queensferry, Dalmeny, South Gyle or Edinburgh Gateway, and Haymarket.

At one time, portions from Edinburgh combining with portions from Glasgow used to call twice at Carstirs.

Although this might be considered 2 services, when the Dalmuir to Motherwell via Glasgow Central and Carmyle reaches Motherwell, it forms a Motherwell to Dalmuir service via the Hamilton circle, without the train reversing etc so you can just stay on the train and do a Dalmuir to Dalmuir service which will take approx 2 hours.
