As per the thread title, what was the last thing you ate on a train? Feel free to add the class and operator if you like.

I'll start us off with a pot of Sainsbury's Cheese & Tomato Pasta Salad. Eaten on an SWT Class 159 from Salisbury to London (it had previously come from both Exeter and Bristol*).

*The train, not the salad. Otherwise I'd be worried.

EDIT: To post what you last ate apart from trains, please visit this thread: http://www.railforums.co.uk/showthread.php?p=2298879

To discuss what you've recently eaten on a train, please continue in this thread. Thank you.

A rather tasty cheese & onion panini last Saturday onboard XC Trains Voyager 220030.
(Have to admit though Iam in envy of ainsworth74, that looks very nice!)

Same as Ainsworth74. Same train, same options. And very nice it was too.

ATW's starter is more filling than VTEC's All Day hot food offering. Obviously quality is in a different league too.

A packet of McCoy's Bacon Sizzler crisps on a 12 car 350 from Milton Keynes to Euston on Monday late afternoon.

A Hull Trains chick pea jalfrezi with naan, followed by Victoria Sponge. Delicious! First Class complimentary offer on the 1850 London Kings Cross to Beverley. Much nicer than the veggie tart or whatever is usually on offer at VTEC.

Probably a sandwich and other FC offerings on the 1900 Edinburgh to Leeds via Doncaster service a few weeks ago - all before Newcastle as it got too overloaded after that and the staff started packing up

Trust me... them packing up didn't have much to do with the loading...

The last thing I ate on a train was a salad and a cinnamon roll, a couple of weeks ago on a First Great Western service from Exmouth to Paignton formed of 2 x 143s.

Two double cheeseburgers on the 2235 Royston train from KGX Tuesday night, a class 365.

An entire bag of bon bons on a 377/7, then a 377/6, then a 377/4, then a 171/8, then a 377/1, then a 377/7 again... I was on a quick trip back home!

Oh, they were raspberry flavoured.

Probably 4 June, a baguette from Greggs, while travelling on District Line S Stock 21401 from East Ham (to St James's Park, but finished around Bromley-by-Bow). More recently on a bus though.

The WAG from Cardiff to Wrexham on the 12th of June. A brilliant meal it was too!

I joined ainsworth74, yorkie and fishquinn in sampling Arriva Trains Wales's fare last week, and was suitably impressed.

But the latest was a rather uninspiring sandwich from M&S. Why do they have to make them with brown bread

Before the demise of the travelling chef, we used to get lovely breakfasts on FGW though.

S Yorks, usually
Cinnamon & raisin bagel x2, bought (and brought) from Sainsbury's opposite Doncaster station, at 4 for £1, way better value than a lacklustre pastry for £lots from the coffee stalls on the station.
Even offered the spares to my fellow passengers, who politely declined.

Testing whether I've managed to attach a pic of today's breakfast on Gerald...

For me it was a Co-op barbecue chicken pasta, bought in Llanwrst and eaton on the first train to Llandudno Junction (having caught the first train down to Llanwrst)

A pasta pot from both Llanwrst and Eaton? That's some salad!

Actually, thinking about it, it would have been just under 2 weeks ago on a train from Middlesbrough to York - crisps and shortbread biscuits (the latter being 49p a pack from Lidl - well recommended!)
