If only. @Ive decided to become a martyr and am working through the whole thing  wish i didnt offer that now

Stock up with supplies and camp in your office whilst it's on.

I love the proliferation of quangos this whole enterprise has given rise to; there's the Olympic Delivery Authority (chairman John Armitt, formerly of Network Rail), the London Organising Committee for the Olympic Games (LOCOG), a name worthy of Chairman Mao, Comrade Stalin or Robespierre; and now I hear that there's the Olympic Legacy Company as well, I heard the other day, which presumably is responsible for flogging everything off to anyone who thinks that they could afford it afterwards. Nice work, if you can get it.

I believe that after the olympics will be a good time to be buying used BMWs (3s and 5s in particular, IIRC), as I expect that the bottom will fall out of the market when they come to sell off all the ones they've bought for ferrying people around.

As for travel, it will all be in a northerly direction for the full duration.

Will you not run out of land to keep travelling North on after a few days? :D

I didn't get any tickets in any of the ballots.

I live near one Olympic site.

I work near another olympic site.

My prompt attendance at work is required to make sure a mode of public transport runs in my area, so I can't reply on public transport to get to work.

I'll be driving to/from work, but I'll be leaving exceptionally early considering I live and work near venues.

My parents have the right idea, they're off to Spain for 3 weeks.

At the moment, where I work is quite important to the whole transport scheme, so I have no choice!
However, I'm hoping that the job I have applied for, that means I'll be travelling 'against the flow' during the peaks, may come to fruition.

I'm waiting to find out what my employer needs me to do during the Olympics as I suspect it might be different to normal with it being transport related. I'm hoping to be able to work from home a little more than usual. I live in Yorkshire but work in London - the places I usually stay are currently quoting 3-7 times their usual prices with some only accepting bookings of at least a week (I usually stay for 3 or 4 nights at a time). Fortunately I've had some friends say I can stay with them if I need to.
