I was there this afternoon also, as Clarky says there were too many people and not enough TRP booklets to go around. The poor OPC woman had her work cut out and could have done with an assistant, hence the very late start, but she didn't let it faze her and coped well.
EDIT - In light of the negative reaction to the information I posted here earlier, I've decided to remove the 'offending' bit. I'm surprised by the reaction of course, but with all opinion being 'against' and none 'for', I feel I should act accordingly.
I assume that those who needlessly requoted my text will follow suit and edit their posts.
chrisdmadd - I can assure you I'm not stupid! It was a selfless act to try and help a few people out, just as I was helped out by those who made it possible for me to download and practice GBT or the Reactions Test. I have every confidence in my abilities and do not for one minute view anybody currently sitting these tests as an "opponent"; some do as it transpires, but I personally don't. Those candidates who come out on top after the entire selection process will have got there on their own merits, not because I gave them a few pointers.
I presume that you won't ever be taking on an instructional role during your career, you wouldn't want any of your students to get ahead of you in this fiercely-contested industry now would you.
Pete H & Merrydown - I think you misunderstand the (now deleted) point I was trying to make. In a multiple choice exam where there is no negative marking, it is better to give an answer rather than leave it blank, therefore anyone who didn't answer ALL 43 questions today has potentially sacrificed a few valuable marks. I answered 30 accurately and then randomly answered the other 13 in the last minute without even looking at the dials, so I may have picked up 3 or 4 additional marks free of charge as it were. I learned that many years ago so am surprised it's an unfamiliar tactic to some.
So my apologies go out to anyone whom I may have upset with my earlier information, but I make no apology for trying to help someone out whenever I can, I even stayed behind to help out the OPC rep with her trial psychometric test. She assured us 'volunteers' that it did not form part of the overall process but you just never know.
