Does anyone know when the new 464 E200's are due and are these coming in Rosso 464 livery or is the brand being merged into Blackburn Bus Company

If the latter will the remaining Rosso brand be ditched with 7/8, 481/3 moving over to new Burnley Buses or will the 464 versa's move to Irwell Line?

They will be Blackburn blue, so unfortunately another brand being dissolved (like irwell/ the Shuttle 662)

I'd reckon lease end as they are 7 years old, just like the flyer versas and Harrogate 7900Es Could be wrong however

So are Irwell buses getting new similar buses to 464 as there buses are even older

Guess this is the final swan song for Rosso

Last day of operations under Rossendale Transport is 29th November. From the following day the services are being operated by Burnley & Pendle Travel and Lancashire United Limited

As per the gov.uk website

I used the X41 Accrington to Manchester Service a few times this week, owing to Metrolink being off in Bury.

I noticed that on each occasion the Busses (B7RLEs) were full and that being 58 plates are getting a bit long in the tooth.

Are there any plans to replace the fleet, possibly with Deckers? I'm guessing being Cross border they're not subject to the 15yr age limit if the bee network.

Despite their age the busses seemed to have plenty of power and had no problem hitting 60mph on the uphill sections of the M66. Do these buses have uprated engines / longer gears? FJ58LTX certainly has plenty of Turbo Whistle!

The B7s on the X41 (Red Express) had work done on them so they could handle the long route and hills on the now withdrawn Manchester-Leeds CityZap route.

One thing to note is that not many of these Volvos are now in RedExpress livery with them being repainted into standard Blackburn Bus Company livery.

As for losing route branded liveries I wonder whether this could mean that the new Buses for various Blazefield operations could find their way onto other routes at their respective depots despite them being ordered for a particular route/s, for example could a Keighley Citaro end up on a Keighley-Ilkely service or a Keighley-Leeds service? The same could be asked for the new MMC200s are Blackburn.

Another Merc (ex-demonstrator?) arrival at Starbeck is hybrid Citario BT25VVZ, fleet number 1516
Looks like it's freed up 1513 to return to Idle Depot for Flyer, so I'd expect 278 to be withdrawn again shortly.

eCitaro BV75 HWC 1023 is reportedly now at Keighley. 2410 has had its temporary "I'm Joining York & Country" vinyls removed, presumably in preparation for repaint.

Are you basing 1023 on the fact it’s appeared on Bustimes? If so you may wish to check what it allegedly did!

Paul Turner had suggested that they were hoping to have the first in use "in the first week of November". Now that 1021/22 are at Keighley, that could be possible - although with likely training to do, I'd be surprised if much happened this week, and early next week might be more likely.

They have had a Harrogate eCitaro at Keighley for driver training. Paul has now confirmed 1036 (M21BUS) has gone for repaint in Harrogate livery.

Both 1021 and 1022 have entered service on the 662 this morning - photos have appeared on social media.
There was one sat outside the station waiting with the sign on and everything when I went past today, so they do appear to be in use today as well.

Paul Turner has confirmed the withdrawal of B7RLE 1731 and B9TL 2783 from Keighley. He also mentions that 1024/25 are now at Keighley depot, and 1025 has started tracking on 'TheShuttle' this morning.

Edit: 1024 is now also tracking on 'TheShuttle'

I have to say that the E-Citaros on the 662 are absolutely excellent buses.

There’s one big problem though. There’s not nearly enough seats.
Thought as much there wouldn't be, trouble is bus companies think standing for 20 to 50 minutes is ok, many passengers would say otherwise. I personally don't want to stand from the Bingley station area to Cottingley roundabout which isn't far but if you're not a fan of standing whilst being thrown about then it's a lifetime.

How many seats are there compared to the outgoing B7s?

There seem to be some teething problems.

I've just missed the 1230 from Keighley.

I wasn't rushing as I could see the bus saying "out of service" with no route number.

It left, still saying that.

Hope not too many passengers on the route miss it because of that.

Are more E400s on order for Team Pennine/Keighley Bus Co?

The E400s/B9 from Reliance yet to enter service at both companies would be enough to replace the oldest examples of Volvos, but there would still be 8 old examples of B7s (2402-2404/2742/2756-2758/2764) remaining…are there any replacements lined up for these?

Unlikely as most of those are Euro 6 conversion. Except 2742 and 2764.
