Cutting it a bit fine there!
So, as per previous posts and how it's being promoted online, it's going to be run from York, on a Coastliner license but advertised and operated as a Harrogate service!

They've been tweeting that advert since the day after they announced they were taking the service over.

Transdev are extending the validity of the KDay to Team Pennine rather than just Keighley. However, with the Metro-sponsored reduction in Day Tickets, it will only be worth using if you leave West Yorkshire (towards Rochdale, Skipton or Colne).
The £1 evening fare promotion is also coming to an end - just in time for the return of Night buses from Manchester.

Odd. They've updated the price, but not the map or description. But then the map doesn't even have the 502 on it, or the rerouting of the 67 and K15 and still has the withdrawn K10 on it. It shows the K13/17/19 rather than the current K4, and doesn't show the 64 - it still has it as the 784 (including the section of route between Ilkley and Otley). It seems to be 3 or 4 service changes out of date - and those changes are more than has happened since the renumbering to K routes.This change happened a week ago, but Keighley Bus still haven’t updated the map on their website that show which services you can use the KDay ticket on.

This is what I don't understand. They're arguably one of the best at marketing and rightly proud with their media both printed and online, yet there always seems to be quite major errors. I understand that mistakes happen and services can change quickly, especially as of late, but there really isn't any excuse for things being 3 or 4 service changes behind the times.

They've had the £1000 welcome bonus for a while, and for people who have recently joined at Harrogate the new £3k bonus must seem like a kick in the teeth, but are any other companies offering such a huge welcome bonus for new staff? Rate of pay is £12 per hour, and I'll be honest I'm not sure where that is good or bad in the grand scheme of things.
Other depots are still offering the £1000 welcome bonus, so not sure if this will end up creating a bigger divide between operations.

£12 p/h is £1-4 p/h below what First pay in competing areas for Coastliner/Harrogate AFAIK
If Transdev were to open a Leeds outstation they could really spoil things for First with offers like that. There must be a case for keeping 1 or 2 Coastliner buses in Leeds over night, with 1 Keighley, one A1 Airline, some for the 36 and 7(2 or 3) and 2 or 3 for the new Wetherbys. Maybe 20 drivers there.

This would go against the demand flows though. Demand is into Leeds in the morning, out in the evening. To have a depot in Leeds would mean buses would be travelling against the demand each day to get to/from the depot which costs a lot of money in the long run.
The only potential trips that I can find would be 1 bus for the 7 and the 3 A1 flyers. The rest all finish too far out. There could be potential though if Transdev were to take on some Leeds contracts now given CT Plus have gone.

They'd be more likely to use Idle if that was the plan.
Team Pennine are rerouting service 360 to provide a replacement for First service 327 which is being withdrawn. North of Huddersfield it is basically becoming the 327
And some operators could learn a thing or two of customer care from that announcement where they name the operator (Stotts) providing a service where they no longer are.

Could it be the final nail in the coffin for the service? Surely any additional revenue, albeit the small ENTCS payments, would help at the moment.
The timetable is being extended into the early evening as well, Monday to Friday, but still finishes at 17.15 on a Saturday which is pretty poor. I assume with the route change it will come down Wiggan Lane and up Long Hill Road to the turning circle, as opposed to going straight on Bradley Boulevard towards Bradford Road as the current 327 does. I honestly cannot believe how poor the service is in this area of Huddersfield is now, as kid, I don't want to sound like a 'back in my day type' but it was served by the 360/361 all day long at 15 minute intervals, dropping at night time to a reduced frequency.
The last bus on a Saturday according to their new timetable is 1905 from Huddersfield, 10 minutes earlier than Monday to Friday.

And pretty unlikely I would think as Connexions would no doubt jump in if they did - sure I read that it is came about because Connexions were looking at doing that service. There are enough Sky Class vehicles doing nothing currently with the cuts to both the Cityzap and X43 to run the X98/X99 without any further service cuts neccessary and the services have been indicated as providing extra work for the York depot.
Apologies, my error, I was looking at the new timetable on the Metro website and didn't realise it had defaulted to the current timetable for Saturdays. That's good though if they have extended for Saturday's, shows a bit of commitment and effort to try and improve the service.
Who are the twirlys? I don't want to zap to York. All I want is a local bus to Royston Vasey so I can get my special stuff.all the twirlys will be complaining in October when they can't zap to York any more

A "twirly" is a colloquial term for concessionary pass holders, on account of them boarding services at 09:28, having the pass rejected by the machine or driver, and saying "am I too early?" which sounds like "I'm a twirly" in many accents.
