You never know, I can't remember how many i got to on the dials tbh, but it wasn't as many as I'd have liked to, or as I remember doing the first time I took my tests.

The memory test was the same old, but a bit disappointed with some of the new stuff but hey ho.

It was nice meeting you all, I'd rather have done it in a more social setting however.

You got more done than me, for some reason speed just wasn't my thing today, despite having ploughed through them all before with gusto on a previous occasion.

I expect little more than disappointment when I get an email. :roll: haha. Group bourdon I did no problem, memory - no problem. I've no concerns with these at all, not to be overconfident as I actually suspect I haven't done well at all.

Mixed opinions on tea-oc. I'm sure the test has been very well developed but the sample taken of your ability is very short, 105 seconds of testing in total was it? Not much longer than a bad coughing fit.

On a totally seperate viewpoint, it has reinforced my belief that familiarisation helps a lot.

It has also done little to boost my confidence that natural aptitude is a measurable constant, but that's a debate for another thread!

I'm expecting a bad email as well. Think I did good on everything apartt from the dials

I wouldn't worry about it, whilst I've a nasty feeling, thats all it currently is.

I don't think you're exactly always meant to finish these tests btw, the only reason I feel a bit negative is because I remember being able to do more in the allotted time all those years ago (quite a lot more in fact). Despite my reservations, i've full confidence in the accuracy element.

I went on Monday, majority of people wore smart shirt and trousers, a few people wore casual. Go to hotel reception, say your there for trainee driver, and they will direct you upstairs

I don't know the 1st thing about this TOC but some have the same people at 1st stage assessments, 2nd stage assessments and then that person will interview you for your MMI. Personally, I would wear a shirt and trousers or even a suit for it, you're wanting to get a job which has the salary in the "professional" bracket so you should aim to give that impression. Turning up well dressed and clearly making an effort won't go against you as if you get a job with them they'll be expecting you to be turned out well in their corporate branded uniform.
Just my 2 cents worth, not saying you'll get a job because you dress smart.

You're not OK in casual clothes. You may not think you're being assessed in all aspects of you're attitude, appearance etc but you are whether or not you in between tests, during or waiting to start them.

Had my assessment in York this morning. It was a good experience, but I don't think I was up to enhanced standard!! I found dials the hardest - the time just flew and I was nowhere near finishing and messed up the question number I was on half way through Good luck to all who have sat the assessment so far.

I was in York yesterday. Same for me, I thought I was doing well in the dials / cables, until I got to about Q27 and realized I had transposed some of the answers. Managed to correct a couple then ran out of time.

Weird as I couldn't spot a number on the answer sheet that I had missed.

Just picking out your reply, i heard someone say something yesterday about this - i assume it must have been you.

I actually had two questions around that area that threw me, and for a moment I 'thought' i'd put the right answer in the wrong box, because I seemed to read the same question twice.

I quickly double checked, came to the conclusion that it seemed proper, and ringed the question number to check properly at the end. (which I never got to do, though I was half expecting this)

Sounds like there was some tricky twists in the paper!

I was the guy who got up and left before the tests began. I have previously passed all the assessments but not up to enhanced level.

I was told before the tests that if I was to sit them and fail any, it would void and overwrite my previous results, so I didn't want to take the risk

Definitely a common theme there then, glad it was not just me- really couldn't figure out why and how it happened! All set to test us though! All the best to both of you, fingers crossed.

I agree - 35 is a good achievement. I never got that far and I know for sure some of the ones I did do were wrong
