I was Wednesday morning session and I am still waiting too. Postman sailed on by this morning with nothing at all.

There must be some system in place. Given that we know at least one letter was received on Saturday, you would have thought that there would have been subsequent letters today. Maybe the post is just super efficient in Bacooke's area.

Mt4.1 I found really easy and trp part 1 was fine but I think there was a few questions that were put in place to catch you out. Have you only done the assessments for freightliner?

Interesting another person who sat on wednesday hasn't heard anything either.

My postman has just been and gone and again has not posted anything I wanted. Another 24 hours at least of waiting to go....

Stage two is Tuesday and Wednesday next week. Just booked some digs for the Monday night (I'm in Tuesday, it sounded like they were asking anyone with only stage 2 to do to go on Tuesday - although they DID offer me Wednesday - in order to give that extra day for those taking stage one this week).

I had quite a bit of difficulty getting the day off work with a week's notice - and I'm going to be leaving there on Monday night and driving 3 hours down the M1 - good luck to anyone who might only have two or three working days. Hopefully I can get a decent kip once I arrive! I'll save the swotting up until the morning...

Good Luck NI271, hope it goes well today

Anybody else had any news from the postman today ? I might call them up tomorrow if I hear nothing today. A weeks notice for an interview is pushing it tight.

Shame is that. I would be happier if one or two more people at least had received letters. On the other hand, the man from the OPC did say that it could take upto 5 working days. Do not think I will be dashing home tonight.

Perhaps they are only sending out the successful post at the moment, they will need these out ASAP due to test dates etc.

There is one thing that has occurred to me. Does everyone who has passed stage 1 automatically go through to stage 2? I was thinking that there may be a fixed number of slots on stage 2 in which case a certain number of people may be put on hold. Be interesting if anyone has experience of this from prior occassions.

Me too, weds pm for me, so 5 working days is up tomorrow. We were told we'd be notified by phone or email, which would be a much easier way for FL to inform us surely?

Good Luck NI271, hope it goes well today.

Well, it did go...whether it went well, I'll find out in the next 5-7 days (they said ) - although I'm well aware timescales aren't always strictly accurate in railway circles.

One thing that did disappoint me slightly - I expected to be put through the reactions test, but it turns out FLHH accept borderlines so I didn't get the chance to improve my score there, I really wanted to do that in case I don't get one of these positions. Looks like all my eggs are in this particular basket for at least six months, certainly seems no point applying for the Northern job at Picc, which I would have done, just in case I'm not one of the lucky ones. The assessor (just one, I expected two working in tandem for some reason) was lovely, it wasn't quite the scary interrogation I'd thought I was going to be on the end of.

Still, from talking to one of the other candidates there (a conductor for LM) it appears there are quite a few positions to fill at FLHH, and I'm in the fortunate position of being able and prepared to relocate, so here's hoping!

One more thing - one of the candidates today had taken stage one last week. Hopefully this doesn't have any bearing on those who did likewise but haven't yet heard from them.

The very best of luck to anyone else involved in the process.

Did they say the next step is the DM interview and medical....

Just called home and no new mail from the postman.

Oh well hopefully they're squeezing in the stage one guys in where and when they can and just working down a list.

I'm ever the optimist ..

Hello NI271, good to hear its not a panel interview, so a lot more relaxed about that. I know it's hard to remember what goes on in interviews but if you can remember any of the questions it would be greatly appreciated if you can let us know for prep work. Good luck and inform us when you hear back.

No, but then there was nobody from FLHH there, just the OPC assessor. I'll worry about DM interview when (and IF) I've been successful with the CBI.

Just do a forum search for 'structured interview'. It's the standard five. Just make sure you've got multiple examples - if I hadn't had, I'd definitely have failed, because one that I thought was a peach for "difficult situation" was seen in the assessor's eyes as another "emergency" one. I didn't (still don't) see it that way, but then I'm not the one scoring the interview...

Hi guys. I was there on Thursday morning and I hadn't had any post so rang up this morning. Apparently the people who have heard already were needed to be told so they could have there stage 2 booked this week. As for the rest of us the result only arrived at Frieghtliner HR yesterday so I was told that she would be sorting the results today and starting to send out letters for the next stages this week. She said not to worry if we hadn't had any post yet but it will be on the way.

She told me I had passed which is a huge weight off my shoulders and now i have to wait for a letter for stage 2. Im very excited as I thought my interpretation of the mechanical test was terrible but obviously not. Time to get guitar hero out. I've heard thats good for the reaction test practice.
Also i don't understand all these acronyms can some one tell me what CBI is? I take it its the structured interview? I will do some research now. Good luck to all the others.

I was thinking maybe the guys who were being called in were those who stated they couldn't make any day during september, which was the question we were all asked upon registration.

Well done on pass stage 1

CBI is the structured interview (Criteria based interview)

I'll have to get 'just dance' out - Don't have 'guitar hero' !!

I'm not sure what date I have stage 2 i've got to wait for the letter to come through as they are being sent out today. I phoned freightliner hr 01270452412 and was told over the phone. Apparently quite a few people have called them.

Good luck for those who are going to call.

Hardly surprising such is the power of the internet as a social medium. Personally I have nothing to report. I was about to do some research on the CBI but I hope that I am not wasting my time.

Well done!

They must be getting annoyed with all the phone calls as I was politely told that results will be sent out today and I will find out soon enough. I hadn't even gave her my name so I will have to wait and stew...

I'm not sure exactly what the job entails, but it seems to be a mobile position where you could work a number of different locations. I was thinking of applying myself for this, depending on the outcome of my driver Assesments.
