iv not heard back yet, but will give it another day or two...
+1Congrats to those who had been successful so far. Fingers crossed for me.
hi guys, another first post here. can I ask if anyone that has been successful has points on their licence? I did apply but unfortunately have 3 points and fear that was an auto reject. thanks
One of the packs i received is marked "Additional tests". There is a list of four tests with tick boxes next to each, and they say that I may be asked to sit those tests that are ticked, and that I will not have to complete unticked tests as part of the train driver assessment process. On my copy, none of the tests are ticked, so that would imply that I won't have to sit any of these additional tests, but I can't help thinking that at least one of these tests should be ticked! Did anyone else receive this item, and were any of the tests ticked?
How do Freightliner view part taken assessments, did Part one in Bristol for FGW and passed and then had the application put on hold, so still waiting to do Reaction Test etc, do FLHH recognise these?
Hello folks, i applied for trainee train driver but have not heard anything back so far. Does anyone think they will be put off by my age ...51?
To all of you who are applying for a job with HH I wish you all the best. I am a driver with heavy haul and was talking with my line manager about the recruitment of trainees. He is adamant that once you get the job, you could be posted anywhere that there are driver vacancies, and that could mean the whole country. Hopefully common sense would prevail ,and you would be located to a depot near where you live, but sadly on the railway this is not the case. So be prepared for an upheaval if needed
Well it is saturday and still no mail! I wonder if all the people who got their letters on the 31st are the only ones being invited to go further.
I'm 53, was very pleased to be invited. Also am on hold after interview for XC TM job at the moment, so I don't think age is a barrier against selection. It might have a bearing when trying to get good Assesment results up against younger candidates thoughHello folks, i applied for trainee train driver but have not heard anything back so far. Hi sirles,
Thanks for your post. If I were successful, I'd be disappointed if I didn't get a place at my nearest depot (Doncaster), as this is the only job I've seen (since starting to apply) with a depot near enough that won't need me to relocate.
Do you know when they'd decide where you'd be posted? I'd guess it would be around when you pass out...
