Well there's only so much practising you can do with most of the tests tbh, but the one I would spend a bit of time on is the Group Bourdon and even then don't overdo it!

For my assessment centre I had a weeks notice, but strangely I think it worked for me as it meant I had less time to stress!

Yeah that’s makes sense there’s no point burning yourself out I suppose I’ll take things easy but just make sure it’s consistent

It used to be 10 weeks, broken down as 2 weeks PTS and introduction to shunting, rules and core traction (class 66).

Then back to your home depot to get your 150 hours handling. Getting your hours in depends on mentor availability and shifts.

You'll also likely have 2 weeks on the simulator. I'm not sure when this is done now. It used to be done after you had done some handling.

Then there's any conversion courses, such as a Class 60 course. Depending on your depot and how many trainees there are, you might do one at your home depot or go elsewhere for it. Usually a 2 day course.

Just got this email too. I applied for JD though? I’m going to take that as they will use all my previous assessment passes as there’s no mention of psychometric assessments?

Where have you applied for @Stigy ? I applied as a JD too using my assessments from FL and had an interview with the CDM on Monday just gone.

Just been advised that I will need to re-do all the tests as I haven't yet had an MMI (still waiting for one with SWR).

What a pain!

I think you should protest that, if you have all the psychometrics to the company's standard all you need to sit is the MMI then DMI

Mmi is part of the tests until that's done you haven't passed them fail an mmi and it counts as strike 1

My main fear is that if I'm having an off day and fail any of the tests that it will affect the other applications I have in (SWR and Southeastern)

Just to point out that I sat all my tests apart from MMI with one TOC, then had to wait for an MMI slot. In that time another TOC called me to sit the MMi with them making my psychometric tests complete. Hence I don't understand their policy.

And yes I would fear if this is the case it would be putting your other applications in jeopardy possibly.
