Hi does anyone have any information hints or tips for an interview will be an hour long this includes a task? ..... Northern for train service control
Ten years retired from Northern now, but I would suggest that you'll need to show a thorough knowledge of the company, its services and ethos....and in particular the detailed geography of its network. You will also need to demonstrate the ability to work under pressure and to short deadlines.Hi does anyone have any information hints or tips for an interview will be an hour long this includes a task? ..... As you've worked as a DSM you should have some experience for the role and some good examples you can use. Think about examples where you've had to work under pressure, prioritise tasks, communicate, work with difficult people etc. Look at the job description and see what characteristics it says are important and then think of examples when you've shown those. Then when you have some good examples, practice practice practice with STAR. Ask a mate or partner to help you. They don't need to know the role, just be able to see if you've covered each element of STAR when answering a question.I am 9 years with Northern starting as train presentation,Conductor, Deputy Depot shift manager I have more than basic knowledge. I am rubbish in interview's using the STAR technique any advice how to ace an interview would be greatly appreciated
