NR havent cleared 110mph running. The units are capable and have been modified to do so but timings are still 100, and 110 still hasnt been sanctioned
Is gWr a Stenning job? It doesn't look much like one.
Apparently they will introduce a neutral livery i.e. one not consisting of First Group colours. I've heard a suggestion it'll be Buckingham Green with gold lettering but whether that's actually a proposal they are considering or whether someone had guessed that from the GWR livery is a different question.
The livery involves a star of some sort, think the connection is northern star. It has been mentioned within internal gossip - but not confirmed!
I thought it looked good on the Sprinters but didn't really work on the Pacers (they didn't deserve gold stars anyway) The 156s and 323s never got that livery as they weren't repainted before First Group bought out GW Holdings so they got the First 'Barbie' livery.
Going back to TPE apparently the winning First bid proposed more new carriages than either of the failed bids from Kelios and Stagecoach.

Yes they have.
The relevant notices have been posted in the cases for the attention of the relevant staff at the relevant depots.

Probably similar to the 395's on HS1, so normally they would go at 100mph but if running lol late use the extra 10mph to make up time.
They'd do the extra what now?
I remember seeing 323s in that livery, found a couple of pictures on Google - e.g. this one, courtesy of railpicsgb

Must have been a short lived livery on the 323s then. I recall some of the 322s having the blue and gold star livery which must have also have been short lived.
Branding neutral is the DfT way to go....
It doesn't show up too much in that photo, but the new logo vinyls background don't match the colour of the TPE livery. I noticed this yesterday after getting off a 185 at Leeds. Close up it looks rather sloppy, even though it's probably only going to be a temporary measure.
Talking about matching. Remember this interim measure in 2004:

There were a few later additions to the fleet in both CT green and RR Express colours which had the same treatment. They looked even worse, especially the Central units!

Oddly enough tho, the CT units -dubbed green goddesses internally- turned out to be the more reliable!
The probably *ahem* did match the production pigments based on the original print run blueprints etc, however the current vinyls are almost 9 years old and looking tired, battered and sun bleached faded so the difference is obvious. The trouble with attempting to match all 153 vehicles would be an astronomical cost in comparison, as some units seem to have faded more than others, and bear in mind 108's vinyls are also different. As you say tho it is a temporary measure until the big reveals take place, which will probably a while yet seeing as tho the company seems to be sworn to secrecy at the mo.
Rumour has it on the last day of GNER when trains were rolling into Kings Cross and being restriped with NXEC white they attempted to relabel a GC HST by mistake....
While some of the TPE 158s got CT vinyls when they left TPE. (I can't find a good picture.)
