It's not a headcode, it's just a random reporting number generated by RTT (I know it's been discussed many times on here, for some reason RTT cannot displaying freight headcodes*). The number at the front of the RTT reporting code is the same as the number at the front of its actual number, but the other two numbers and the letter in the RTT reporting code mean absolutely nothing.

* slightly different with DC Rail, whose actual headcodes seem to appear on RTT

I believe it's Network Rail that generate the code, not RTT, but correct elsewhere (the FOCs requested it for commercial sensitivity I believe?)

Yes, I did manage to get 438 thanks. :) I did see 417 too, but unfortunately it was going back to the depot for the evening by then.

Chris 37601 and 37218 were stabled in Ferme Park yesterday morning and never moved all day. I am 95% sure these are the ones, that left on time.

Hi

Can anyone tell me what the 37 was hauling what looked liked a test train yesterday (4th June), spotted near Hornsey on the ECML around 11.00 am, I think it was a DRS but I was too busy looking at the new Thameslink depot and didnt see it (as it was on the other side) until it was nearly out of sight, many thanks

I assume that was 25067, which moved (by road) from the Battlefield Railway to the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway today, for the KWVR diesel gala this weekend.
