159s don't go to Great Malvern normally, I don't think it's ever happened, are you absolutely sure it was a 159? Possible SWT loaned FGW a 159 but I can't see it happening.

First one off Brissle is usually a big formation, can't remember what I had on it on my only trip on that working years ago but vaguely recall a pair of 158s and a 150.

Similarly the last one from Westbury to Brissle usually carries multiple DMUs, I've had a 150, 158 and 153 on that in 2010
