I was on the bus recently and there was someone sitting at the front using an iPad, made them look like such a knob.
I know what you mean. On a train it would be perfectly okay, but nobody with any self respect would be seen dead on a bus!

I have a long list so I'll only mention a few of them ;)

* The Daily Mail...
* Most Drivers that will do 90+ Mph on a dual carriageway and flash at you when you are overtaking a lorry or a bus but then will do 20 mph on a single lane road. Also those that flash at you when you slow down to go around a blind corner or if you are stuck behind a bike when there isn't enough space to overtake... (the list goes on!)
* People who moan about train companies not replacing their old stock when all that is caused by the dft...
* The Daily Mail
* Customers at a retail shop who will moan at cashiers for not doing something which is beyond their control
* When you need to get some where in a hurry and there are a dozen tractors on the roads...
* The M1...and the section of the A14 with average speed cameras
* oh and the Daily Mail...
* People that assume that because you are unemployed you sit at home drinking cider all the time and have about 40 ciggarettes a day and assume that you have no education and your ultimate goal in life is to have 20 children named innit (or stupid names)... (i.e. a chav!)

People in England who use the American "Ass" rather than the proper English "Arse".

One has to wonder about someone who can't tell his backside from a donkey. :D

Maybe watching the tops of clouds isn't interesting for them? ;)

No imagination, perhaps. They're looking at a sight that nobody will ever have seen before or since. Clouds are like waves, you never see the same one twice. Still, I don't mind as long as they don't block my view, so I miss the all-important "There it is!" moment when the destination comes into sight.

Oh, the ones I don't like who do 40mph wherever they are, that includes my village, where the speed limit has been 30 for years now. It probably also includes all those places with 20 limits.

These should be classed as things I strongly dislike, or indeed hate:

- ITV
- Tabloid newspapers
- Harry Hill
- Keith Lemon
- Manchester United
- Manchester United fans
- Alex Ferguson
- My next door neighbour
- The fact Sky Sports News has been withdrawn from Freeview

and many, many more things...:)

I'd stop buying the Mail and buy some more cider, if I were you Danny! ;)

You mean start buying cider and ciggarates don't you ;) (since i don't drink alcohol or smoke ;), although I don't buy the mail I only see their biased news online

That's a bit harsh, not all of us are that bad sure there are some that well should be shot but there are some who are fairly ok. (i supported them since i was 4!) Although people call most of the Man U fans glory supporters (I still support them if they lose or even if they get religated..which I doubt for the moment) but what about those in the uk that support Real Madrid or Barcelona or similar (Traitors?)

(in my case though I also like Everton and Folkestone invicta)

Saying that I'm slowly losing my interest in football not because Man U didn't win the premiership or England not winning the world cup (I didn't even expect them to). More because of the excessive wages that these players get, 100k + a week, seriously who needs such money...

If you were a die-hard Manchester City fan, you'd understand my initial comment...;)

Is this not supposed to be a railway forum ?
If you wish to post messages about football teams, newspapers, TV programmes, etc there are plenty of forums elsewhere.

This is in the general discussion forum, which is the part of the board for talking about non-railway topics. So I'm not sure what the issue is?

When walking from Manchester Victoria to Manchester Piccadilly - I must have an invisible sign stuck to me which says "stop here" "walk infront of me" "get in my way here" "walk really slow HERE"

grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr people do annoy me...

Sorry, please tell me who is forcing you to visit this part of the forum and this thread? I don't like 37s, so I'm not a big fan of your avatar, I just get on with my life, why don't you instead of making pointless posts?:|

Yeah, This is in Other Forums > General Discussion. There's Threads on here from Jobseekeing, Computer Games, Pies & Footy (the last three are ace!). Railways are bvetter than footy, but Footy is better than 37s, 47s, 90s etc :|

Two words annoy me today: "Bob" and "Crow". Commute from Woolwich (King George V) to Paddington this morning, and home this evening, a total of six and a half hours. On the plus side, it reminded me why I really should take the Thames Clipper more often - cold beers at 32 knots, as London's best views roll by...

What annoys me is when you buy a best of CD, and it doesn't have the artist's best song on it. I'm speaking to you Simon and Garfunkle - hello - Only Living Boy in New york!!!!

Seconded. The meaning of "Rock music" has got lost along the way somewhere as regards most TV and Radio stations saying that they play rock.

I agree with most of that. I've never met another rail enthusiast though so I can't really say anything.

Lucky you. Most, not all of the ones I met, turned out to be somewhat bitchy, whinny, unsociable and just plain annyoing, the sort of people you would rather want to hang out with a tree. While others have been really nice people, so they're not all bad, just a majority of the ones I've come across.

Drivers who drive their cars at 40mph everywhere

I always get stuck behind them - the road I use frequently is mostly National Speed Limit, but has one short 40 zone and one very short 30 zone. Yet you can guarantee getting stuck behid some fool who drives 40mph through the National Speed sections and 40mph through the 30mph section.

Although, I travelled down to Cornwall for a few days a few weeks ago and was even unfortunate enough to encounter a silver-haired relic driving at 40mph on the M5, and, assuming she couldn't comprehend her stupidity, appeared perfectly content about the danger she was putting herself and others in.

So frustrating!

I'm pretty much the same as AussieRail, except replace Australian Labour Party with The Labour Party, and add Communists too
