Ah, the one thing that majorly annoys me when travelling on the Underground - When people press the open button on the doors... <(

I know they might be tourists/visiting london, but it really bugs me

Why are there open buttons on the doors anyway? They don't ever seem to be used, even in the open-air sections. So are they just for decoration or what?

They used to be used, but it worked out quicker for the dwell time to isolate the buttons and just have all the doors cut in. The buttons were remoed from the D stock during the recent refurbishment, and will presumably vanish from the 1992, 1995 and 1996 stock when that gets refurbished.

Yes, but if on the suburban mainlines the doors do require the button to open the psshhhii-y things, then extending the same assumption to suburban UndergrounD at open-air stations is not that far-fetched a "mistake", I'd say. Huh? :|

People who get on a train, stow their luggage, sit down, get comfy, and then say: "Is this the train to......"

Also people who leave pushchairs, luggage, bikes etc right behind my cab door.

Ofcourse, XC couldn't really stretch to that with no new trains. But still, I'm at a loss as why you'd be offended by a Voyager running the route?

Cos it'd be much better with a Meridian! ;)

People who use their phone whilst driving.

I hate that tooo! <(

Especially the ones who are then veering all over the place at 25mph in a 30 zone trying to hold the fone, change gear and steer with their knee! <(
Is a bloody phone call worth risking yours, an more importantly everyone eles's lives??? grrrrrrr.

(Even worse, the darned wumman this morning - on the phone in one hand and doing her mascara with the other (using the central rear view mirror) whilst bearing down on my back wheel at a fair old clip - a good bit over the 40mph limit there anyways!) <(

Is the Telegraph the only broadsheet left? And the Guardian the only Berliner? All the rest are meant to be posh tabloids - Independant, Mail, Express etc

Yep, just the Telegraph. Not sure the Mail and Express are posh though

tbh, most of them twist the truth anyway - the Mirror and Guardian love leftism, the Express and mail the opposite, the times and Indepedant near enough neutral (the Times is a bit right). :D End of newspaper rant

I'm also beginning to get the impression that the Times might be holding stuff back from their increasingly thin newspaper to try and tempt people to their new glitzy website. Can't be sure, but if true, it would be quite annoying considering how much the newspaper costs.

Well not quite every ten seconds, but I think I get it out quite often, often though its just to get the time as I don't wear a watch! I don't just do it to show it off like some people I know... :x

I'm sure Lee Boardman has used 'that word' on Road Wars before today. Then again, thinking about it, he has also used p155ed also, so maybe not the best example as it is generally shown 'after the watershed'!

The best thing about the Telegraph is that you can disappear behind it if the passenger opposite/alongside you is getting annoying. The Press & Journal and Scotland on Sunday are good for that as well. Having said that, that reminds me of something I find very annoying. People who take window seats (especially on aircraft) and then get a newspaper out and block the view. What do they want the window seat for if not to see out?

People on Airline who always think that they're right

Some people were moaning because they booked a flight from x to Luton I think, and the Luton to x, but they only left something like 20 minutes between the flights and moaned when they missed check-in :x

Forgot about that one. unless they are sexy air stewardess' and they keep bending over and rubbing their ass in your face. Thats not that annoying. Slightly embarrassing but not anoying.

People in England who use the American "Ass" rather than the proper English "Arse".

Unnecessary announcements on trains.
Why do I need to know that, "This is coach two out of four"?
"Please keep all your belongings with you whilst on the train"
If you think I'm lugging my backpack and folded up bicycle into the bog or along to the buffet you've got another think coming pal.
