The WCML bid seems to have changed some people's opinions about Virgin/ Richard Branson, which got me thinking about things I've changed my mind about over the years:
HS2. I used to be against it (I'm not a huge fan of our obsession on "high speed"), but became a reluctant convert (given the lack of realistic alternatives to improve capacity)
The Calder Valley line. I used to refer to the railway through Halifax as Calderdale and Caldervale (interchangably), but following a recent discussion I try to use the "local" name of Calder Valley.
150s. I used to really like them, but a surfiet of them in recent times (now Northern has a lot more, following the LM cascade) has got me thinking they are no better/ worse than a Pacer.
Anything you've changed your opinion about in recent years?
(without trying to get into a long argument about these things)
