Rather than spend a few hours shuttling about on the airport bus, we return to South Wales on the FGW 0137 departure, getting off at Newport at 0211 Friday morning

We long for scotland once more and so we board the 1044 Cross Country service to Glasgow Central arriving there at 1612 Friday Afternoon

We are lucky that the train takes 6 minutes before departing meaning we can take the 1733 First Scotrail service to Paisley Gilmore Street arriving there at 1824 Friday Evening

We are lucky that the train takes 6 minutes before departing meaning we can take the 1733 First Scotrail service to Paisley Gilmore Street arriving there at 1824 Thursday Evening

I know the Scots can be frugal with their fuel allocations, but a six-day journey starting at Largs at 1733 on Friday that does not arrive in the Paisley area until 1824 on Thursday is exceedingly something really out of the ordinary.....:shock:

We take some time to explore the local area before returning to the station in time to board the 1951 FSR service to Ardrossan Harbour arriving there at 2006 Friday Evening

We next head down the old Glasgow and South Western area by boarding the 2312 First ScotRail service to Dumfries that arrives there at 0115 on Saturday morning

We see there are no more services from the station tonight, and so as our train makes it way to the sidings, we settle down and await the 04:58 First Scotrail service to Carlisle arriving there at 0535 Saturday Morning

A week too early for a ride on Ratty
