I haven't been able to post much on here recently. Looking through the posts made since my last visit I have noted a few errors with certain journeys that have been made, errors that would affect any following journeys. As they are some time (and pages) ago I will not go into any detail about them

Next we take First in Berkshire and the Thames Valley's service 190 at 1227 for the short ride to Earley station, arriving at 1229 on Tuesday afternoon

We make our way into the station to board the 12:34 South West Trains service to Reading, arriving at 12:42 Tuesday afternoon.

HOLD HOLD HOLD
Minimum connection time at Paddington is 15 minutes which takes us to 1644 at the earliest. The times no longer seem to be available on the National Rail website but are listed in the Stations Index for the Complete national rail timetable available on the Network Rail site.

May I recommend http://www.brtimes.com/#home# just type any station name in and it comes up with the connection time, what I have been using.

It must be open floor by now, so we take the 1724 FGW stopper to Kings Sutton, arriving at 1944 Tuesday evening

The Grand Central site also has MCTs - for some stations, apparently randomly selected

I had a feeling the connection time would be the issue. I didn’t know of any site which shows such information. I did search National Rail website as it did use to show connection times on there with in the Station Information pages. But as Zoe says this is no longer the case (as I found). I guessed the connection time at Paddington would be around 15mins but I appear to have misread the times when submitting my journey. Thanks to Trainfan344 for providing an alternative.

We wait at the station before boarding the 20:07 First Great Western service to Oxford, arriving at 20:37 Tuesday evening.

We are still under HOLD conditions as I was waiting for Class 20s response as no RESUME was called (I was waiting to see if Class 20 was going to post a new move or declare open floor). I will leave it up to Class 20 to decide to continue from your move (in which case we will resume from the subsquent post by Class 20) or to post a new one from Trainfan's post at Paddington. The game should be considered RESUMED when this decision is made.

Nothings ever easy in this world is it. RESUME

My mistake was at Paddington. I asume this is were Dzug2 moved us on from, taking us to Kings Sutton. So I am moving on from there. I know Dzug2s move was under hold conditions but lets just move on.

Well, we now have had a DOUBLE adjudication and a number of intermediate postings made. I have "struck-through" my earlier posting, as this was affected by the FIRST of the two adjudications.

I am totally and utterly lost....

Is this the posting from which the quiz can continue....or not ?

Zoe appeared to use this as the posting from which the next posting incurred the query on its not meeting a miniumum 15-minute connectional requirement.

That would have been the post that Class 20 could have elected post a new move from to replace the invalid move on the 1640. However dzug2 posted while still under hold conditions and Class 20 has not challenged this so we are at Oxford at 2037 on Tuesday.

We watch the bus disappear into the distance and await the next service, which are frequent even at this time of night. We board the 21:37 Oxford Bus Co. service 5 and alight in Oxford City Centre (County Hall, New Road - Stop E6) arriving at 21:59 on Tuesday.
