Odd Down has numerous bus stops, but as far as I can see only the 14 serves Noads Corner.

So we wait the statutory 5 minutes and then get the next one back at 1118, travelling to Lower Weston, The Weston, arriving at 1145 Tuesday morning

Further excellent timekeeping allows us to catch the Stagecoach S3 service at 2345, which takes us to Chipping Norton West Street, arriving at 0042 Wednesday morning

A slight discrepancy here between Stagecoach's timetable and the Traveline one - the latter says Town Hall in Chipping Norton rather than West Street and has no knowledge of a West End.

In either event we have a couple of hours to hang about before onward transport - the 388 being the only service in this settlement. Which way shall we go? On or back? (Tosses coin, ignores result.) To Banbury bus station, leaving at 0938 and arriving at 1000 Wednesday morning

(Hope this is legitimate)

We telephone and book a place (one hour's notice required) on the demand responsive Centrebus Midlands C500 service that leaves at 1320 and travels to Banbury Railway station, arriving 1330 Wednesday afternoon. We then settle back to have lunch while we wait.

After a refreshing visit, we next board the 1825 more Bus service 50 to Swanage bus station that arrives there at 1840 on Wednesday afternoon.

Sorry to be a pain, but aren't we obliged to use the first available transport to our destination? Which would be the 1755 service arriving at 1810

Since I apologise for reading and missing a line in the service timetable....and having duly amended this to reflect the oberservations in your HOLD posting as agreed now by both of us, I now declare RESUME at 1810 at Swanage bus station on Wednesday afternoon.

We note that there is quite a while to wait for the next available bus, but as it is summer, daylight stays with us and enables to see the attractions of the area until we return to the bus stop on East Street to make a short onward journey, so we board the 2121 more Bus service 40 to Herston (Herston Cross) that arrives there at 2125 on Wednesday evening.
