A plod to the train station takes us to the 15:38 EMT service to Buwell. It arrives in at Bulwell at 16:30. (Various bus connections from here!)

I believe this move is void as you were not left at a stop serving the rail station. I don't seem to be able to find Worksop bus station, looking at the map it would seem the bus in question terminates at Hardy Street which is outside the bus depot. I will wait for clarification before making an adjudication here.

Glad to oblige.....the full postal address for the bus station is:-

Worksop Bus Station
Hardy Street
Worksop
Nottinghamshire
S80 1EH

Will this extra information be sufficiant for an adjudication ?
I still can't find any timetables using the name "Worksop Bus Station" though. Which timetable used this? It would seem that you alighted at the location known as "Hardy Street" in most of the journey planners but I'd like to be absolutely sure of this before we continue.

Zoe, my posting only referred to arriving at Worksop bus station at 1450 on The Sherwood Arrow on Wednesday afternoon.....and no mention whatsoever of Hardy Street was referred to in it.

Where did you get the stop name "Worksop Bus Station" from though? I can't find any timetable for your route referring to a stop by that name. Even traveline.info does not have a location named "Workstop Bus Station" and the nearest location would seem to be called Hardy Street.

I rang Traveline East Midlands at the time, as I could not trace the actual timetable for The Sherwood Arrow, so the phrase "Worksop Bus Station" must have been given to me by their member of staff to whom I spoke at the time.

I have already published the full postal address for Worksop Bus Station in a posting upon this thread, which was obtained for me by my good lady wife from the Royal Mail website. which gives Hardy Street as its address. She has again been on their website and says that the address that she first obtained is still the correct one.

I've looked at streetmap.co.uk for the location of Worksop Bus station and Hardy Street - they are essentially the same place and some distance from the rail station

(Hardy Street is named only on the maximum scale and is right by the bus station)

I'd certainly say that the move being questioned is invalid

In that case I will declare harry42s move void at this time and this takes us back to Worksop Hardy Street (Worksop Bus Station) at 1450 on Wednesday with harry42 having priority to post the next move until 2137 after which time it becomes open floor.

We stick with East Midlands (do we have any choice?) and take the 1820 departure to Bedford, arriving at 1918 Wednesday evening

snap

Plan B ( Well C actually - the 1921 Bletchley train isn't a valid connection)

We take the 1925 departure with FCC to Flitwick, arriving 1935 Wednesday evening

We change to a nice air conditioned Southern Class 377 working the 23:13 service to London Victoria. We decide to leave the train at East Croydon where we arrive at 23:30 on Wednesday evening in the hope of finding a tram!

We head outside to sample a night bus, and find that the Brighton and Hove bus and coach company service N7 departs from the station at 12:58 which we take as far as Royal Sussex County Hospital Arriving there at 01:08 Thursday Morning.

Different bus routes are hard to come by at this time of night.
So to save us loitering any longer outside the hospital we await a westbound N7 service.

This arrives at 0122 and we take it to Hove Railway Station arriving at 0138, Thursday morning
