Looking at a local place next to visit, we next board the 1450 First in Bristol, Bath and The West service A2 to Bedminster (Chessel Street) that arrives there at 1504 on Monday afternoon.

Time for some retail therapy, so we catch First's 75 bus at 1516 to Cribbs Causeway Bus station, arriving at 1623 Monday afternoon

Correction - there's a 76 at 1511 arriving at 1629 which I think we are obliged to catch

So Cribbs Causeway at 1629 on Monday afternoon

A chance to see more of what Greater Bristol as a region has to offer, so we next board the 1635 First in Bristol, Bath and The West service 54 to Stockwood (The Hollway Road shops on Stockwood Road) that arrives there at 1802 on Monday afternoon.

As we ponder our onward journey options we see a bus, bound for the city centre, approaching. We cross the road to the appropriate stop and board the 18:09 First in Bristol, Bath and The West service 54 to Tyndall's Park, [Triangle West, Stop Dc] arriving 18:49 on Monday.

A change of bus operator sees us next board the 1903 Wessex Connect service 16 to Sneyd Park (Saville Road) that arrives at 1917 on Monday evening.

Observing the 5 minute connection time means we miss the 19:19 service and so wait for the 19:49 Wessex Connex service 16 to Tyndall's Park, Elton Road (On Elton Road) Arriving there at 20:01 Monday evening.

As we wait we observe the faster bus towards the city centre pass, but we are travelling the opposite way. We board the 20:30 First in Bristol, Bath and the South West service 9 to Clifton (adj Bristol Zoo) arriving 20:46 on Monday.

Allowing for the fact that we are indeed fortunate to have an onward service that complies withe 5-minute regulation, we board the 2051 First in Bristol, Bath and the West service 8 to Temple Meads (Approach Road) that arrives there at 2123 on Monday evening.

We switch back to rail and catch the 2210 FGW service to Cam and Dursley, arriving at 2243 Monday evening

We appear to have a long wait for an onward rail service at this time of the day so we resign ourselves to seeing the dawn break and finally board the 0632 FGW service to Taunton that arrives there at 0824 on Tuesday morning.

We could so easily return towards Bristol on the next available service, but decide to continue further into Devon by boarding the 08:42 Cross Country service to Paignton arriving 09:46 on Tuesday.

We have a bit of a wait for the 11:06 First Great Western service direct to London Paddington arriving there at 14:54 Tuesday Afternoon

Observing the minimum connecting time of 15 minutes we catch the 1510 Heathrow Express to Terminal 5 arriving at 1531 on Tuesday afternoon

We transfers downstairs to the Underground station and wait for the 15:44 Piccadilly line service to Oakwood arriving there at 17:13 Tuesday Afternoon

Oddly enough it is a convoluted route between the two differing platforms, even though they are at the same level. I was there a few weeks ago.

We decide to leave the station to seek out a famed London Bus, though the reality is somewhat disappointing. We board the 17:20 London Buses 121 service and alight at the terminus Turnpike Lane station arriving 18:04 on Tuesday.

Entering into the LU station, we next board the 1812 Piccadilly Line service to Cockfosters LU station that arrives there at 1830 on Tuesday evening.

We quickly switch platforms and board the 18:31 Piccadilly Line service all the way back to Kings Cross St. Pancras which arrives at 19:01 on Tuesday evening.

We then descend back into the tube. Having just missed the 18:05 Piccadilly Line service, we wait 2 minutes for the next train. The train arrives bang on time at Turnpike Lane at 18:07, we take the Piccadilly Line all the way through to Kings Cross St. Pancras arriving at 18:21 on Tuesday evening.

I think you must have missed my previous posting which saw us arrive at Cockfosters LU station at 1830, so the next posting will have to depart AFTER that time on a Tuesday evening.

After failing to board the 1831, we wait for the 1836 Piccadilly Line service to Kings Cross St Pancras arriving at 1906 on Tuesday Evening.

Again, we are presented with an opportunity to use the tube system, so we enter into the station and board the 2017 Northern Line service to Kennington LU station that arrives there at 2040 on Tuesday evening.

I'm not quite sure what is going on here as the timetables on londonbusroutes.net don't seem to agree with the timetables on the TfL website. Before I set an official policy on which should be used, I'd like to give people the opportunity here to state their preference. We will continue to HOLD while this is discussed.
