I don't believe you can do that else I would have posted that move ages ago, unless their is a bus service between then, the next train is 08:15 Sunday I believe.

Continuation after the move by Paul was corrected, as was posted.

A most humble and grovelling explanation has been given in the edited posting section of that incorrect posting.. Someone else other than the respected forum member High Dyke can make the correct onward posting.

Apologies for causing a minor disruption. Your correction has been duly noted, appreciated and we can now go forward.

Hoping there are no other services tonight, we wait for the 10:18 East Coast service to London Kings Cross arriving there at 17:53 Sunday evening

Your hope maybe shortlived. I believe there is another journey available on a Saturday evening from Aviemore. The arrival time was:
Aviemore (Cairngorm Hotel, opp Rail Station) arriving 21:50 on Saturday.

I have no idea, I didn't expect my move to be valid in all honesty but thought I would give it a go.

We are afforded another opportunity to travel this evening. We cross the road and board the 538 National Express service at 20:35 as far as Aviemore (Cairngorm Hotel, opp Rail Station) arriving 21:50 on Saturday.

After much meditation and now wearing "mental sackcloth and ashes", this time noting the arrival time in the posting quote above, I will try once more.......

Noting the railway station has no nearer bus stop than the one from which we had so disembarked, we decide to make rail our next mode of travel, so we enter into the railway station and board the 2234 First ScotRail service to Inverness that arrives there at 2310 on Saturday evening.

Such is the state of onward travel that nothing by rail is due for hours and there really is not what you would say was a bus stop outside the railway station, so it is "make do and mend" time until we have the opportunity to see the new station of very short platform length that was opened in very recent times, so we eventually board the 1110 First ScotRail service to Conon Bridge that arrives there at 1149 on Sunday morning.

(**having looked at Google Street view that surely has to be a valid transfer)

Last time we had an issue with bus stop locations I clarified with:
Zoe said:
for this game a stop should not be considered as serving a location unless it is immediately outside the station (including the car park) or is marked as serving the location.

After a quick look, the bus stop in question does not appear to fit in with the above but I will not declare any posts void at this time but instead call HOLD HOLD HOLD so that the location of the bus stop can be investigated in more detail since last time a quick adjudication was made in error and had to be rescinded.

It would seem the buses do not directly serve the station and the link above clearly states that a walk is required from the station. HOLDING to allow more time to consider the issue.

Having looked in more detail it would seem that under the current rules as clarified in an earlier post, the above move is not valid and this takes us back to Stonehaven station at 1910 on Sunday (with rail the only available option for onward transport) and this is where we RESUME from with dzug2 having priority to post the next move until 1000 after which time it becomes open floor.

We decide to head for the capital of Scotland in hope of onward transport availability by boarding the 1924 First Scotrail service to Edinburgh Waverly arriving at 2158 on Sunday.

An opportunity to use a London bus should not be ignored here and so we board the 1026 London Bus route 140 (operated by Metroline) to Hayes & Harlington station arriving at 1115 on Monday.

I believe the move to Kensington Olympia was from Harrow & Wealdstone but we had already moved from Harrow & Wealdsotone to Hayes & Harlington.

Can we RESUME...I had just been beaten in making my posting...now "struck-through"

We can now continue..... on Monday at 1115 at Hayes & Harlington bus stop outside the railway station.
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
1. Should the original poster elect to strike through their post then all moves following shall be null and void. The original poster must then either post a new move or declare open floor in which case the game will RESUME from the last valid move.

As such, I now declare OPEN FLOOR.
