As we've missed the last bus out of Denshaw that evening, we trawl a few pubs and try to find somewhere to kip.

Waking up on a park bench to a misty day, we jump on the 06:36 service 407 from Denshaw, Dumfries Avenue to Oldham Bus Station, arriving there at 06:59 on Friday morning

As the hour has elapsed with no return from DanTrainMan185 in that period, open floor ensues. Can I suggest that the above posting made by Buttsy allows progress to continue. I can confirm that this is the very first service on either the 354 or the 407 routes that departs from Denshaw.

Yes, I'm happy to accept that move now.

Just to make it official (and to add in the service number which I forgot in my previous posting):

As we've missed the last bus out of Denshaw that evening, we trawl a few pubs and try to find somewhere to kip.

Waking up on a park bench to a misty day and a stonking hangover, we jump on the 06:36 407 service by Stotts from Denshaw, Dumfries Avenue to Oldham Bus Station, arriving there at 06:59 on Friday morning

Game moves
You must depart from the station or stop where the previous post arrived using a permitted timetabled public transport service. The minimum connection time for the station or stop must be allowed for. Where this is not published, a minimum interchange time is considered to be five minutes. You may not reboard the service used by the previous post. In your post you should clearly state the time your service departs, the company who's service you are using and the time and day of arrival at your chosen destination. If arriving by bus or coach then you name should the area in addition to the stop name.

Waiting
You must use the first available service to reach your destination after allowing for the minimum interchange time.

Walking
You may walk in order to change modes but you may not walk between stations of the same mode although you may walk to a different bus stop at the same location for example by crossing the road in order to travel in a different direction.
HOLD HOLD HOLD

See the section in this rules extract that refers to NOT walking between railway stations.

Indeed, above post is void and as per rules the 1 hour period starts from 0045.

A reading for the day

And it came to pass that one day, that Paul was making his way through the forum pages and came across a member whose eyes had great difficulty in understanding the rules on quizzes and games. Other forum members who were in spirit with Paul asked ....
" Has this forum member sinned on threads in recent times, causing him not to understand what his eyes do see?"

Paul then spake thus to those forum members ....
"Neither this forum member nor any other forum member with such an affliction have sinned on threads, but the works of Paul should be revealed to him"

With that, a PM was sent to the forum member into his inbox which said "Go and read the rules of those quizzes and games". The forum member did this and came back to the forum with his eyes reopened with the light of understanding. Paul saw this and saw it was good.

Here endeth the lesson for the day.

I must admit, I've had a few difficulties looking for further bus routes out of Feniscliffe. Luckily, research tells me that Cherry Tree railway station is a mere six minutes walk away, so we head there and board 2S19, the 2040 Northern service to Blackpool South, arriving there at 2137 on Friday evening.

I do hope this is a valid move, after recent events!
